Fire resistance test - Jansen AG puts its fire doors to the test

  • As a recognized testing institute in accordance with DIN EN ISO / IEC 17025 and as a listed testing laboratory by the German Institute for Construction Technology, DMT carries out a whole range of fire protection product tests in accordance with international standards at its Lathen site.
    With three vertical furnaces up to a clear opening of 6.4 m x 5.3 m, even large building components can be tested for fire resistance, smoke protection or continuous function in our special facilities.
    On this occasion, Jansen AG, Swiss manufacturer of steel systems for the construction industry, filmed the fire test of their fire doors according to fire resistance class E/EW/EI 30. The aim of this test: to check the passage of fire and heat and to identify possible weak points.

    Ein Hinweis aus der Praxis immer heiße Türen mit dem Handrücken nähern. So verbrennt man sich nicht die Handfläche falls die Hitze doch einmal durch schlägt.
