He originally went to Hollywood as a musician and just by chance, landed the spot on Nightmare on Elm Street so he's totally legit. He Just knows his drumkit. Once You know it and dont have to think about which drum to hit when singing becomes easier. If you want to learn how. Try playing a certain fill or beat blindfolded. After You can do that You will notice that your focus on the kit itself becomes smaller and that is When You can start singing or other things You May see drummers do
I thought the same when I started drumming and saw mastodon live, the technique that helped me sing and play was to go verse by verse playing at a slow tempo while saying the lyrics, then I sang in the same slow tempo and then just play it in the normal tempo

The reason Alice isn't singing much on this song is because he has admitted his vocal style (Which is awesome when doing his own songs and most of the covers,a true legend) is different than the type of music Motorhead did, so Sorum does most of the vocals here. Give the Vampires credit wanting to honor Lemmy. Motorhead and Alice Cooper, two of the greatest of all-time.
