An arm drag is utilized in MMA, the rear arm control to a musha dori (an overhook) is used in MMA, and the same movements that we (at our dojo in Chapel Hill) use to defend strikes at the beginning of Yoku-to are utilized in MMA as are the knee strike, elbow strikes, and any of the throws that I demonstrated. The only thing shown here that isn't used in MMA is the shirt grab response...because they don't wear shirts...
@@TheNinjaEveryDay ye all the moves you stated are really cool and really useful, im just wondering about the block you used before the arm drag. Thanks :)
One of my favourite things about To Shin Do is the amazingly high quality of instruction, makes the concepts much easier to understand. Thank you sir!
Great instruction, and explanation of movement.
Looking forward to seeing you at the NENC in New Hampshire sir.
Great stuff. I would really like to drop by your school the next time I'm in Chapel Hill.
Awesome video
Thank you very much!!!
why do you think these types of blocks aren’t utilised in the ufc or mma
