Yesssah uncle Wayne back in action love to see it he hurt his leg too fishing where you fishing had to get surgery love to see him doing what he does out there the king of ulua fishing right there
Love your videos. Makes me miss Hawaii. Also your not lying the ʻAlenuihāhā is no joke. Been through that channel alot when I was stationed on a Coast Guard cutter on Oahu.
You been doing a lot of fishing compared to catching lately. 🤣 I’m sure you can’t wait to get the boat! I give it to you for being positive and sticking with it. 💯🤙🏻👊🏻
I've actually had my eye on this spot for a long time. I search for moi on the wide. Well I was looking more towards the right and I still want to check out the spot. Pristine spot.
Nice new rod! That is super light. I have the Stradic CI4 which is also super light. That would be a perfect match up with that rod. You could whip all day and never get fatigued. When you said “new battle wagon” I thought you meant a new 4 wheeled cart. It is a coincidence that you bought a bike. My new “battle wagon” is being delivered tomorrow. My wife ordered an electric bike (Costco road show special Rad Rover) for me as a gift so I can ride on the beaches here. Racks and rod holders are going on it when I figure how to go about it. I have friends who have made 26 mile round trip rides on the beaches here so I know the bike will go farther than I can. Can’t wait to see the new boat maiden voyage video. Plan your return trip very carefully, you do not want to attempt the crossing to Maui under anything but favorable conditions. I mentioned earlier that I was in the Coast Guard stationed in Maalaea Harbor back in 1982. The Alenuihaha Channel is very non forgiving. Made some very excitement filled rescues in that channel back in the day. Stay safe and make sure you and your crew have all of your safety gear on and accessible including a ditch bag with portable radio and post a float plan before your crossing. Always better safe than sorry.
Right now I run a 5k Stradic I was thinking of dropping down to a 3k just to try make it a little more light weight. Electric bike is the way to go for sure. That’s going to be an epic fishing machine. You got to post some videos of that for sure. Yes I will have all my safety gear even Epirbs. Just got to wait for a nice day. I plan to try and blow it across as fast as conditions will let me go.
Reel Adventures Hawaii As fast as conditions allow is the right choice, no dragging lures trolling for your first trip. (Unless the conditions are really flat and you see a big ahi bust up 😉). Will your new outboards be properly broken in by the boat builder before they hand over the keys to you?
Reel Adventures Hawaii Received the bike this morning and put it together. This thing is a beast! Weighs over 80lbs! I already swapped out the brand new never used cable disc brake calipers for hydraulic calipers and added rear view mirrors to the handle bar ends. The rear rack has been out of stock so I can not mount rod holders on it yet. The smoke is still so heavy here I did not even take it out to seat the new brake pads. I was dripping black sweat from all of the ash in the air when I finished the assembly so I called it a day. I was getting dizzy and have a headache. The skies are supposed to start clearing tomorrow.
Love your videos. My daughter is a nurse at Tripler. they just bought a boat and have yet to catch a fish. I personally think their leader is to heavy - 150lb mono for tuna or ahi, but I'm not a fishing expert. Any tips I can pass along? I hope to get over soon if covid would leave. keep the videos coming
Awesome man, good way to beat the 🦨 Have you ever done a vid on maintaining your saltwater spinning reel? I use my Stradic 4-5 times a week and am nervous that it will start to break down. I’m out there usually about 4-6 hrs. Mahalo brah!
If you need a place to crash or someone to bring you food to kahului harbor when you drive the boat over let me know 🤙🏽🤙🏽 I can have food and drinks brought over if you need
Its happened a few times. Not fun at all. I got sucked in on a big day once when i was moi fishing last year. Freak swell doubled up and dragged me across the reef. 🤙
that right side shelf had look nice behind you when you were walking to your spot. cast across it and reel it in parallel to the break back to you.next time you getem
Mean the turtle bay/Marconi beach action. Did you know that a developer from the mainland bought out Marconi. These greedy developers are dividing into beach front acre lots and is selling for 3-4 million per lot. I hope the Hawaiian Ohana that has the title to that land come forward and claim it back. Too much Hawaiian land is falling into non local hands. This beach will soon be private and enjoyed by the rich and greedy only.
Tuned in from Las Vegas, Yeeeeeeeeeeteeeeeee!!!!!
Thumbs up 👍🏽 for the battle wagon! Smart man
Where’s this?

Thanks for the great tips! Just bought me a belt pole holder! 🤣🤙
Awesome. I think it’s a super good purchase. Especially with the water proof waist pack.

Super rare to see nobody on the beach on this beautiful island of Oahu😂🤙🏾
Charleys Fishing Supply sells Majorcraft. One of the old salesperson at Charleys recommended I try the major craft pole. One of the best pole I own.
When I looked they only had 4 styles. All for dunking.

For trolling we normally run 300lb leader. You need the big leader here.
Should do a sub meet up in Hilo when you get your boat!
Thinking about something. We will see 🤙
When you get your new boat, can you film crossing the channel from Big Island to Maui?
I will
Awesome man, good way to beat the 🦨

They are sealed really good. I would suggest just popping off the spool and putting a drop of oil in the crank shaft.
Awesome stuff mate! Inspiring as always, i've just started my own channel based on spearfishing and fishing in The Great Barrier Reef.
Awesome. I will check it out.🤙

One of my favorite spots to fish but getting there is a pain
nice man! you ever get knocked over or washed out in spots like that?
Its happened a few times. Not fun at all. I got sucked in on a big day once when i was moi fishing last year. Freak swell doubled up and dragged me across the reef. 🤙
Fishing are rods, not poles, poles are bamboo with a string tied on the end, like Huck Finn
think you could make a vid of the eye repair? i hate those eyes with the insert.

Been fishing there for over 30 years. So stop fishing my spot. 🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️. See how that works.
