    Description:-
Vivian Maier was an American street photographer whose work gained posthumous recognition for its raw and captivating portrayal of everyday life. Born in 1926 in New York City, Maier spent much of her life working as a nanny in Chicago. While she kept her photography largely private, she amassed a vast collection of over 100,000 negatives, prints, and undeveloped rolls of film.
Her photographs, primarily taken in the 1950s through the 1970s, depict candid moments of urban life, capturing the essence of street scenes, portraits, and self-portraits. Despite her prolific output, Maier's work remained unknown until 2007 when it was discovered in a storage locker auction.
Since then, her work has received widespread acclaim and has been exhibited in galleries worldwide, leading to comparisons with some of the greatest street photographers of the 20th century. Vivian Maier's enigmatic persona and her remarkable ability to capture the essence of ordinary life continue to fascinate audiences and inspire generations of photographers.
