What a treasure! Helen Mirren is an astonishing example of graceful living and honoring what a difficult process professional acting really is. Like others, I first became dazzled by her in "Excalibur" in 1981, but then I saw her in the Irish IRA political movie, "Cal" in 1984. No one like her! In an interview regarding her preparation for the role in "The Queen", I was astonished to hear her say that she felt she did not "get" the role until she studied and understood how the Queen "walked".
I became a Helen M junkie WAY back when I first saw her in PRIME SUSPECT gosh, maybe 30 yrs ago now? I became riveted to this unknown (to me) Actress who played the role SO brilliantly. It totally contrasted with what was playing on TV at that time (Dallas & all those tacky type series). What could have been such a boring role & topic to me (British Police Force) I suddenly found fascinating. I remember going on & on about her to friends but it was some time before she became more well known here in this country. I still feel the same about her & will watch anything she is in. (I even found the stranger Hungarian Film "The Door" fantastic.) I am continually thrilled that the rest of the world shares my admiration for this wonderful and authentic Actress.
Adore, love, and cherish her. Such an amazing actress and her dress looks fabulous oh her. Would of loved to of seen the rest with the audience questions.
Always a pleasure listening to you Helen Mirren, ' timely significance ' on friendship, spontaneity ' doing what is right in front of you and doing the BEST you can.' Thank you very much.
This most nasty, condescending interviewer ever seemed to know so little and care so little of our great Dame Helen. The brilliant actor Helen Mirren outmaneuvered this clueless young wannabe with her honesty, and soldiered through her ordeal like the great lady she is. Helen as usual, came out as down to earth, yet still attractive in age like no other. I must make a list of her work to make sure I miss nothing before I die.
Helen Mirren, such a bright interesting woman. Too bad the interviewer seems totally uninformed. Not able to have a two way conversation with the Dame in order to expand and further explore her life and background.
The first film I remember seeing Dame Helen Mirren in was Excalibur. One of the rare good versions of King Arthur...more realistic and without the pretension of the old film making. A tad graphic too but well done move. Helen Mirren played Morgana; the evil half sister of King Arthur and she played it to the hilt. Still love that movie and British actors in general including this great lady.
Це справжня мужня жінка, що спроможна бути відвертою, не псувати свою зовнішність хірургічними чи іншими радикальними втручаннями, знаходити та підтримувати таланти, тощо.
The transcription of Helen Mirren in subtitles is often nonsense. for example 'poetry' is written as 'part tree'. Much of it is just a jumble, does not make sense.

Prime Suspect aired at the same time as Dallas? Ummm.. Several decades off, methinks.

So, a slight overlap.

She’s absolutely brilliant as an actress and as a human being.
She’s an amazing, smart and brilliant woman❤️
Helen didn’t miss out on parts for being too old as she ages naturally and beautifully. Just wish other actresses would / could follow her example
Those earrings are incredible! Wish I knew who made those.

I love Dame Helen Mirren.
Wonderful interview. The interviewer was excellent. Very engaging and thoughtful in her questioning.
Engaging? She couldn't recall what they were suposed to be talking about at times, and knew embarrassingly little about our great Dame.

They're both above average intelligence. That's what makes the conversation interesting
terrible Interviewer unfortunately -

Hi
It sounds like her mic is in her dress. Why was no one paying attention. In this era there is no excuse for such bad sound.
The nonsensical computer generated titles should be removed. What's the point, if they twist and omit her spoken word?.
You can turn them off at the bottom of the screen on the right side. Mouse over the wheel (setting) and click on "Subtitles" and then click "Off."
had they just come from a funeral?
The lose of the czars was the dream!
wierd question ... about nudity .. just something you never ask a serious actor about ..
Bob De Niro..not in the id and yet a creep 😂
Funny are the lines which a totally incompetent guy added to this interview.
