If the contents of the black bottle were given to Pryor after Round 11 or 12, what was it that enabled him to take Arguello's best shots? Arguello landed his best power shots in the middle rounds, not late in the fight. So this notion that the black bottle is what beat Arguello is laughable. Pryor's will and heart and hand speed and power late in fights is what beat Alexis.

He eats only food from his town . No medicine
No vitamins. Doesn't use modern training methods, no body nutritionist nothing, he's the only fighter in the sport that don't use none of this crap .

Man get the hell outta here . Floyd. Canelo. You name them , all of them cheaters. All got losses on their careers but are all gifted a few wins to not loose their piggy bank money .. the sport of boxing today is trash .. watch UFC or bare knuckle fights . At least you get what you pay for . People come to fight and not bitching about rehydration clauses , side A, side B nonsense . Don't get me wrong the skill is there , but it's just not the same when everyone is on clean condition.

The black bottle may have given Pryor a boost, But it didn’t take away anything from His stamina. I saw both fights back in the day. Alexis hit Aaron with straight right hands hard enough to snap Pryor’s neck. A jab is not a power shot to the forehead, but enough of them could be paralyzing. Every time this comes up there is some idiot that says Pryor knocked him out faster the second time. You don't think the first knockout took anything out of Arguello who was already long in the tooth?
What Lewis did was illegal and he was caught dead to rights. The only defense would have been that he didn't actually say that and HBO dubbed a voice in. If Lewis said that you probably would have believed that.
The ONLY question is if Pryor knew it which going by what Manny Steward said he almost certainly did, Lewis and Pryor were garbage and you're a moron. That's why you barely made it through high school.

Pryor did not win that first fight fairly and only his diehard fans could deny that he did! Arguello beat him badly until the bottle was given to Pryor for an extra boost. Arguello was one of the great champions of his era, a fighter in the strictest sense-- Pryor was not! Pryor got hit a lot and was very unorthodox, acted strangely in and out the ring and probably should have been under strict medical care for much of his boxing career. He just was a very, very troubled fighter and his relatively early demise to overindulgence with drugs verified it !

Your ignorant, No one moved up, Pryor went Pro as a LW, then ran from a stacked LW division the best in boxing at that time to the worst division in Boxing, Hearns started at WW and moved up from there, Leonard began at WW and moved up from there, Duran was great at LW before Pryor's time, moved up to WW before Pryor won the JWW title, , so your comment is totally clueless. In December 1980, Pryor rejected an offer of $500,000 to fight Sugar Ray Leonard for the WBC welterweight championship because he wanted more money. When the WBC raised the offer to $750,000, he rejected that as well.[3] Pryor signed to fight WBC light welterweight champion Saoul Mamby in a unification bout for $1 million. The bout was tentatively scheduled for February 7, 1981. However, the fight fell apart when the promoter, Harold Smith, disappeared amid allegations that he was involved in a $21.3 million fraud against Wells Fargo National Bank. Smith, whose real name was Ross Fields, was later sentenced to ten years in prison after he was convicted of 29 counts of fraud and embezzlement.[4][5]
Pryor was then offered $750,000 to fight Roberto Duran in April 1981, but Pryor turned it down because his new attorney told him not to sign anything until he worked out a new contract with manager Buddy LaRosa. By the time they worked out a new agreement, the chance to fight Duran was gone.[6]
