@@AndyManCam Well, if you, the hipster w4nker had to google it, it's probably NOT hipster then? ;) :p :D I like them because they are not a massive US conglomerate (they are a small French company), offer CD quality on everything and hi-res on a pretty decent proportion, AND offer an API to integrate with my Squeezeboxes and my Wiim Pro Plis (you'll now probably have to google Squeezebox/Logitech Media Server/WiiM? ;) :p :D :D ))
Great mini series Andy and perfect antidote for that dead period in the early new year - that said I did see a daffodil out the other day so first stirrings.. Have to say my Knox mk1 has been the single best piece of riding gear I've ever bought, it's a veteran of eight years and five European tours now and still going strong. Might see if the pension runs to a Mk3 for this year - although the Nishua helmet does look tempting....
What an awesome series Andy. Makes me want to go to Gran Canary and ride. We have a shit of a winter hear in Northern Ontario Canada. Little snow, and I think only a handful of typically cold days. Your videos have kept me sain Well, more sain than normal 😅 thanks
Thanks very much Shawn! GC certainly looks very attractive compared to the rubbish we both have up here closer to the poles than to the equator!! Not long though mate. Stay strong!!
"Why do all good things come to an end"? I really enjoyed the GC series and can only agree with you about the awesome roads on the island and the fantastic service at Canary Ride!
If only they didn’t have to! But then we wouldn’t be able to start new good things! 😉 I was utterly impressed from start to finish. Total recommendation to all!
A grand finale to a super series, Andy. Those fantastic roads so smooth, even the minor ones, and so unlike the potholes, sunken drain holes, skiddy loose chippings, etc. that we have to suffer on the UK's rubbish roads.
A lovely slice of summer sun, twisty roads and some mad man getting lost (again) has helped no end in banishing the winter blues. Bring on the 2024 riding season, its almost here...
Thanks for posting. Sounds like you had a great time. Planning trip to Italy in Sept of 24. Maybe you will be in the neighborhood. or maybe not. In any case, enjoyed your videos.
My pleasure Dexter! I really did enjoy the hell out of it mate! I’d really love to be blarrting around Italy in September but i fear it’s more likely that I’ll be at work! 😫
We're going there in April :) havend watch the series yet gone watch it after we went there. We're doing the round trip on grand and Tenerife:) it's a shame the dessert x was not available..but we got a transalp and African twin happy with those :)
I'm going to Europe for the first time this July. Spending a week and a half seeing Castles in Germany. Thanks for giving me the confidence to go and explore the world!
Awesome series. Just came home from GC and rented 3 different bikes with Canary Ride. The twisties on that island is out of this world. How do they even get permission to build a road on every single mountain? But certainly enjoy it! 😁
Thanks very much Darryl! I’d really love to say yes. I’ve fancied it for ages. Sadly being across the water makes everything far more complicated and expensive! We’ll have to wait and see what the gods think of it!
Thanks Terry! Medical cover is definitely something you have to take care of yourself. As a European, I’m still entitled to emergency care in Spain. But even so, have an extra foreign medical insurance policy as part of my breakdown cover. (ADAC)
@@AndyManCam yeah they do have one but I wouldn't get it as it's £45 for a piece of plastic and it makes the camera bulkier. Was thinking of getting their lapel mic but not sure it's worth the hassle of sending it back if it doesn't work properly.
Off-the-wall question: Why, in Spanish-speaking Gran Canaria, do they have STOP signs instead of whatever "stop" is in Spanish? Seems to also be the case in some other countries where English is not the language of choice.
That's an easy one. First international agreement for traffic signs in Paris 1909, second in Vienna 1968 and later on some more. These meetings have helped to standardise traffic signs in Europe and thus ensure a better understanding of the traffic situation. And as someone who travels alot through Europe, I'm very thankful for that. 🙂
@@ElGreco291 Interesting, thanks :) I guess the exit signs on a motorway are not "important" or considered safety info/signs, so they can continue to make Brits giggle every time they go past the "Ausfahrt" sign.... (I once had a mate that thought there were lots of villages called "Ausfahrt" in Germany... LOL ;) :D :D )

That’s clever! I’m also happy to have you guys providing! 👍🏻👍🏻

Qobuz! Look at you, you Musical hipster. (I had to google it)

We were riding on neighbouring Tenerife just last week. Amazing weather, stunning scenery. Canary Islands are a perfect winter riding destination 👌
Totally agree mate! Can’t really ask for more!
Thanks great video. Can't wait to go back 😁👍
Thanks very much Dave. You and me both mate!

Another stonking series, doubt I'm gonna get that weather on the nc500 next week 😂
Cheers Mat. Unlikely, but you never know! Think warm thoughts!
A great series Andy. Just what I needed to endure the wet, dark and cold days of winter here in the UK. Thanks!
Cheers Tony! Very happy to have helped!!
Brilliant review, loved this series Andy, one for the bucket list me thinks, cheers
Thank you very much! Glad you enjoyed! Yeah, stick it in the list!
Great series Andy. Thoroughly enjoyable from the scenery to the conversation. Thanks for all of your hard effort.
Cheers Pat! Glad the enjoyment came through in the vids! It was pretty perfect! 👍🏻

Great filmography as always Andy. Great series, cheers!

Thanks Jim! I know right! I was gobsmacked as i had to drive around in the hire car in the UK this Christmas! More hole than road!
Great series, but also looking forward to seeing more with your new ride back home.
Thanks very much mate! Can’t wait to dig the Aprilia out of the garage again!
Enjoyed that series almost as much as you did. Look forward to a few trips on the new Aprilia Andy.
Cheers Steve. Glad to hear it! I’m very much be looking forward to some Italian adventures too!
Excellent series as usual. Definitely looks like a biking paradise

A group of us are going there this year to explore the island taking our 6 berth campervan and an old Hummer. 👍
i feel a Canary Rides hire coming on... ;) :D
@@mattmutane5502 🎣 😉

Okay nice twist in the roads me thinks 🤔 enjoy 😂
The nicest! And round every bend is another twist! 😉
Andy, are going to go back and redo this awesome trip to include the "multi island" version? ;) :D

I've used Canary Ride. They are really good. The island has some incredible empty roads as well. The GC-200 in the North its nuts.
Nice finalé.
KTM, April???
You've been holding out on us 🤣
I’m afraid it was last April and the no longer with us KTM 😢
Hi Andy, do you have a link for the mic in the vid please. Jay
Why, of course! amzn.to/35VCAEV
@@AndyManCam thank you
@JaySalvoUK No problem!
Im thinking of selling my GS1200 and going for a 1050 Vstrom, its full of extras and built for touring, the GS has been great but fancy a change
Careful, you might like it more and if you say anything to that effect, you’ll anger the GS gods!
Great video i have a question do you get medical cover when you hire the bike or dod you buy it separately 🤔 keep up the good work 😁

Thanks very much BD! It’s a Boya BY-K4. Apparently DJI also have one now too.

Yeah 45 quid is pretty lumpy for a piece of plastic with some connectors!

It’s important to also remember that in Germany and Spain at least, they actually do use the word ‚stop‘.
Feels weird that this is a new video but you're referencing your 'new' bike that already got written off and replaced 😵💫
"internet time" / "Andy time" is a b*tch.... ;) :) :D
I know 😩 It was an emotional rollercoaster editing these videos, as i just kept on mentioning the KTM!! 😭
20cm higher seat? We're gonna have to see an indepth review of your presumably 5 feet long legs then
It’s possible i might have lost a decimal point in the excitement! 🤣
