As the son of a retired Navy guy I feel compelled to point out this is not a Battleship but an Aircraft Carrier. Great figure though.
I would say it is an amphibious assault ship, like the USS Wasp.

I guess I'm in the minority who thinks this really doesn't look too difficult. Then again I look at every transformer as a memory puzzle and I love those 🤷♂️
@@purplewolfranger22 to be fair transformers, especially complicated ones like this one, are memory puzzles.
I remember having Metroplex as a kid and I thought that was complicated and big. This thing is on another level.

I'm 44, pretty sure Gunpla wasn't around at that time. Closest I had were zoids and Airfix model airplanes.
@@andrewvalentine6977 Ive done a couple models mostly like the us military models ground see and air but didn't get into those till I was like 16 ish but ya the older models were the best as well
@@jamespaxton4133 To be honest, not being that artistic and a touch clumsy, I wasn't that good at making them, although I did enjoy putting them together. Usually I used to much glue or had trouble getting thing like missiles or wheels completely straight.
Those little tiny turrets and Hanks are terrifying, misplace them and they're gone forever

Someone should design a custom container for those small parts to be stored in and the container could act as a special external pocket to connect to the figure.
This is probably one of the coolest looking and intricate Transformers I’ve seen this year. Amazing.

Imagine if they would've also had real size ship transformers like these in Pacific Rim, that people could also pilot to fight against Kaiju? Not that the Jaegers aren't awesome on their own, but this would be friggin AWESOME!😁
Pacific Rim Jaegers would only come up to this guy’s waist, at most. LHD ships are about 850 feet long so he’d be over twice as tall and at least 8x heavier.
But how would we find a man and screwdriver large enough to perform the transformation?!

As cool as it looks in both modes, the engineering is what I would consider high effort but low thought. There appear to be so many clearance issues in the transformation. So much flexing to get around parts and paint rub along with it.
And so many suuuuuuper tiny parts to lose. And so many thin break points.
This thing is magnificent, but I was anxious as fuck through the entire video.
Makes you also wonder what the target market is. Adult Collectors? DEFINITELY not a child's toy.

My God, the thing looks complicated. Designing and manufacturing this toy, is almost as great an achievement as designing and building the actual Type 075 amphibious assault ship.

I'll agree most of the mainline stuff HasTak was dishing out for a few years was pretty shit. But honestly I think most of Earthrise, most of Kingdom, and just about everything in the Legacy line has been pretty damn good. There's been a few I didn't personally like, like the cartoon weighted design of Menasor, but the actual quality has been great even on figures I'm not interested in.

i love model building and stuff like warhammer so i can handle tiny fiddly pieces and i can understand some people not liking it.
but my main problem is that compared to tf1 tf2 tf3 the toys now adays arent as detailed in the transformation

This reminds me a lot of Metroplex from Fall of Cybertron, and the character is designed really well, what little kibble is left over is used to add to the design of the character like the towers superstructure on his chest!

A complicated transformation. Reminds me of MP-41. Got lost a few times watching it transform.
Transforms in about the same time it takes me to put my socks on, Though it looks more epic doing so.
I recently found a (slightly broken) Optimus Prime in a box of LEGO bricks. Took me like 20minutes to figure out how to get it into a truck shape.
I guess this would take me at least an hour to make into a boat again.

I really don't think you know just how large this guy would be in his bot form... Everyone thinks that Devastator was massive, being made up of more than a dozen massive Constructicons. And he was large, but from what I could find, the SHORTEST aircraft carrier in active service is 180 meters. Devastator was a mere 30 meters from head to back feet. This makes this gargantuan being a pessimistic 6 times taller/longer than the largest transformer we've ever seen in live action. The largest active aircraft carrier is 333 meters, 11 times the length of Devastator, and nearly double the conservative end. Even taking into account that some of the length is lost as pieces seperate to form the arms and feet, we're still looking at a bot form somewhere between 100-250 meters tall.
edit. I just saw another comment identifying this as a Chinese Type 75. Which is 237 meters long. Making this guy around 160-180 meters tall in bot form. He could use an American football stadium as a swimming pool, and it wouldn't even be deep enough for diving safely.
The only Autobot that would be bigger than Broadside which is what this robot's name was in the 2nd generation cartoon would be Metroplex. Broadside would be as tall as the Empire State building in robot form because that's about how high a modern aircraft carrier would be if you stood it up on it's bow. Next smallest from Broadside would be any of the combiners which are all about the same size or Omega Supreme who was an Autobot that transformed into a US Saturn rocket.
This is pretty nuts!

If this guy is to scale wity Iptimus Prime, he would be absolutely massive. Probably the size of Omega Supreme. If they were to bring O.S. into the Bay verse, I could easily see his alt mod being an aircraft carrier.
I remember taking jetfire to school back in the 80s. It use to stress me how long it took to transform him as i was vulnerable to attack. This transformer would have caused me to have a breakdown in the school yard!
Recess would be over before you completed the transformation!

i see everyone complaining how complex it is and how many small parts there are but if you take away those aspects it becomes an up-scaled version of the figures that go for 10 dollars maximum a real transformer would probably have thousands of small parts
