I can't lie, I was expecting better work from the transformer toy makers. This is the first time I have ever seen the Unicron toy and I'm a little disappointed tbh.
Hasbro should make a Primus figure, as bug as their Haslab Unicron or 01 studios make a Primus like their Cell Unicron figure. They should also make all 13 primes as actual deluxe, Voyager, and Leader class transforming figures while I’m at it

I had unicron as a kid and boy was it the hardest one to transform. Showed him off in front of my class at a show & tell in 3rd grade though which made me popular for like a whole week. Good times.
I still have my Unicron. He's in relatively pristine condition, aside from missing the chest cannon projectile, one of the leg blaster projectiles, and Dead End. I still pull him out every now and then to this day for fun. I've been trying to think of a nice place to put him for display, rather than having him in a box in my closet with the other transformers I collected in my childhood.
The funny thing is, with how much time it takes to transform a toy into its robot form it’s almost canonically the same speed for something as big as unicron to transform in the show. And it’s kind of also true with how it transforms. With other transformers in the show there always seems to be like things shrinking or changing shape to fit the character design which doesn’t always match the toy. But It kind of works for planet size transformers.

And if you have seen BW Neo, you know that the Cybertron from G1 cartoon is the same planet far in the future, which is Primus.
Love Unicron for when it was released and what it did and the detail on the figure. That being said, I think Primus had the benefit of being created after and in a lot of ways, is the superior planet transformer.
I miss my Unicron. Sadly I lost bits over time and didn't really realize how unique of a toy it was until I was way older. Never knew about the Cyberton one though.

Most of my problem was losing them or their bits and bobs. But I agree, raising 3 boys now between 6-11 and hoooly crap am I looking forward to their toy regrets in the future.
i remember when these came out. unicron was epic, people wanted this since the 80s. theres 2 versions i know of, they reissued it with a color swap later to match armada. always thought it wouldve been cooler with sounds, guess they learned by the time they got to cybertron. i never got around to grabbing cybertron, but i also got the death star for xmas one year. theyve been in a box for a few years, thanks for reminding me to check for leaky batteries.

Huh, I seem to recall a TMNT toy quite like these two, although most definitely incomplete, it basically looked more or less a toy turtle on the outside, however the inside was that of The Turtle Lair. ಠ_ಠ
When I was 5 years old my brother, who was 2 years older, and I loved both Transformers and Yu-Gi-Oh and we had this Unicron toy. Well, when we were that young, we thought that the only reason that Yugi won every duel was because we thought that he stacked his deck. One day I spent 2 hours stacking mine so perfectly that I would never lose to my brother. Right after I finished, my brother came over and kicked my deck of cards. Furious, I picked up Unicron by the arm and beat the shit out of my brother with him.
I had Unicron as a kid, and one of my biggest regrets from my childhood is that I didn't treat my toys better. I still have it, but most of the pieces are either broken or missing, just like a lot of my other cool toys.
I too recieved it for Christmas one year and my mom said "You better get all the use out of this toy because it was 80$ and itll be the only thing you get"
The mini transformers that are able to be combined are so sick. I love the mini transformers that were complex back in the 2000s. Seems like they dumbed them down for new generations. Kinda sad.

I was addicted to old transformers bat in like 2004. I got the old movies and episodes from the 80s and 90s. I'll never forget: I was like 5 years old in Australia and I saw a massive Optimus Prime like 2 foot tall. With all the weapons. I begged my parents for it like 100 Australian dollars, but no way it would fit in our luggage. The one that got away. When I lived in Guam our friends son my age had this Unicron.

How on earth do you mistake these for Bakugan? They're not completely spherical and have bits jutting out
