Can we make this an end-of-year tradition? Recap the year podcast style. It’s really fun.
yes please
I concur!
Yes! Finally, a JOLLY Podcast! Been waiting for ages on this concept.
Monthly.. lol
Jolly Wrapped 😂
Luke is right, this is definitely going to be your latest hit. I loved how unscripted and authentic this is, how unhinged Ollie’s jokes are, how Grace is just laughing her head off in the background, and just overall the energy of all of you during this whole thing. Please do more of this!!!
I agree, we need more videos like this!!
Welcome to podcasts lol
Who is Grace and is one of the guys married to her ? They look too young, but then I 'm 64 and everyone is starting to look 15 !! ❤😂
@@cindysandberg643you just verbalized how I feel. I recently turned 64, and everyone is “kids” to me.
@@cindysandberg643Grace is one of their employees, I believe she’s an editor if I’m not mistaken. They are both married though and Ollie has a kid. 🥰🐬
I had no idea Ollie's back had given out. I'm so glad he made the right decision to take care of himself.
I knew he was missing from videos but I thought it was just because hey had so much going on. Glad he's ok
@@siobiifysame i was like where is ollie in some of the videos but i thought maybe he had to stay back home for private reasons
Yeah, given the fact that Ollie's in his 30s and the fatigue on long-haul flights gradually took a toll on his health.
Imagine Ollie coming to Josh after the New Year in a Worm suit and going "Do you love me Josh?! Tell me you love me!"
Guaranteed Ollie will be doing this at some point.
💚And Josh saying as he always does-"You're such an idiot!"
This should be the top comment, I laughed way to much reading it😂
@@laurarojas3245 it's Ollie's New Year's transformation
Ollie as a worm; Josh as a carrot...
I am 76+ and I discovered you this summer. Your videos bring me such fun and often I find myself laughing aloud. Thank you.
we need more like this with the whole crew.
The JollyCast
Make it monthly because if it weekly, they schedule will be pack
@@mohamadizzuddin7068 or even just once in a while when they have the some extra time
Thanks for the amazing content, and here's to another great year of Jolly and Korean Englishman!
1:24 Favorite meals of the year
17:15 Dinner at Buckingham Palace
24:30 "Speedrun" of Jolly x Carrotland
29:47 Ollie's back injury
33:37 Carrotland!
39:57 Questions from Jolly beans
W comment. Thanks for the timestamps!
thanks so much for doing this!
thanks!
Huh! Someone else mentioned Ollie’s back and I don’t know how I missed that. Also, none of the restaurants mentioned were in the video I watched. How is that possible???
actually, I did notice halfway through the Max series that Ollie suddenly went missing. now I know why. good for him recognizing that he needed to get it sorted out immediately.
Grace's laugh is contagious lmao
true HAHAHA
I need an episode of cuts of just Grace laughing
we need more grace in front of the camera action
Was she given a mike just for the laugher track 😂
It isn't the same without it!
Ollie!!! We noticed! You are such an important part of Jolly/KEM, and you were very missed. So glad you took the time to recover. Jolly is by far one of my favourite channels to watch, and KEM of course ☺️ Looking forward to seeing what's to come in 2024 for you all. Josh, Ollie, and everyone... happy new year ❤️
It is absolutely blasphemous of Ollie to think we didn't notice his absence during those 3 months. Happy New Year to the whole team, take care and rest well and thank you so much for all the amazing content this year!!
Who ever decided to give Grace a microphone needs a raise!
I like to think Grace just grabbed one one day and everyones to scared to take it back 🥰😂🐬
. Jolly.
Baby ?
Can we do another episode starring Grace 😂🙏🏼🤙🏼
we’ve been blessed with a 45 minute video 🙌🏽 so proud to have watched these two boys’ progression from a couple of college kids with interest in Korea to these sorts of opportunities!
Those who are frequent travellers for work know it’s not always glamorous and fun. Yes, it is a privilege, but sometimes we do feel a bit sick having to go back to yet another airport, hop onto yet another flight, getting into yet another taxi, trying to speak yet another language, checking into yet another hotel. I am glad Josh and Ollie shared some back stories of what it takes to continue to work at the pace they are expected to.
Jollycast is a needed thing. They could even have some of the crew on too. I really enjoy Luke's perspective, he always has something useful that helps me experience something when he takes a bite. And he's a funny duderoonie
I vote for Ducky - he is a blast!
When josh said Terry Black i was like, I KNEW IT 🤣🤣 God knows how many times I rewatched that video
i love this podcast-style format for you guys cause ollie can be just as unhinged as he can be without it being cut out of the video
Ah man I love this old school format of Jolly where you’re just chatting!
Several years ago, a friend of mine was part of a group of outstanding young British classical musicians who were invited to Buckingham Palace to dine with QE2 in recognition of their achievements. My friend was only 16 at the time. Champagne was served. She never told me how the food tasted but she does remember having gotten drunk for the first time in her life -- in Buckingham Palace.
Wait. Hold the phone. Yall didn’t plan Terry Black’s until you went thru TSA?! 😳 So yall don’t plan where you’re going like wayyy ahead of time?? I’m blown away lol 😂 bc these videos, the way yall interact with the restaurant staff, all the food, them taking you to see the smoking of the BBQ, all of that - it’s so organized & the videos feel like they’ve been planned months in advance. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I like this long-form style where y’all debrief your thoughts on the different experiences you’ve had. I know this gives more content to review because the scope includes the entirety of the year, but I’d love to see this long-form video more often. Have a Happy New Year! Blessings to all of you.
Hey Josh and Ollie, you should have James Hoffman (the coffee RUclipsr) on Jolly to try coffee flavored snacks with y’all!
Yes please
Or better yet: Hames Joffman; I almost feel as if Olly could Hames, same personality, creativity and ability to poke fun at every possible situation and also would make sense he would know how to edit a succesful RUclips channel.
Olly is Hames Joffman, confirmed by their unwillingness to work with him/them.
Yes please!
That's a GREAT idea 💡 👍 I'd definitely watch that!❤
I don’t know him but the topic seems interesting. So yes please!
Please do not change the face of the channel! It 100% embodies and represents the channel! It fits so well
Major respect for giving Ollie the time he needed to heal, so many employers wouldn’t have. Glad to hear he’s feeling better!
I'm also glad that Carrotland was FINALLY addressed but I still think we were owed a video of the unveiling!!!!
Agreed
agreed!!
maybe a compilation...but they don't owe us anything really
I'm not sure, but I think it was available to members of the Jolly Channel.
i think after learning about Ollie, we should be patiently waiting for when the both of them to can make it there in good health and give us a video they're happy to make ! (: i think we can all agree
I was having breakfast with a friend of mine and I said, “we should take a flight to Austin. There’s this BBQ place there that these to British guys reviewed on RUclips we’ve got to try.” Glad I found Jolly. This is some of the funniest and most joyful food adventures I’ve seen ever. Bravo you guys!
I just discovered Josh and Ollie this year and have already watched nearly all of the videos on both Jolly and Korean Englishman - can't get enough of their content! Loved this recap episode, great way to close out the year. Happy New Year, Jolly fam!
Same. Love them
I really like the way Ollie thinks, he is hilarious! Keeps it slightly edgy and is a carrot expert. 😁🥕🥕
As a podcast lover, this is a treat. Thank you Jolly team.
Makes this Texas girl's heart sing that your number 1 is Texas barbecue from Terry Black's. ❤️ Wishing you all a 2024 full of wonderful food, riotous laughter, and many blessings 😁❤️
Can we please get more unedited videos like this! So much fun and I laughed the hardest I’ve laughed this year!!
22:33 five second rule in Buckingham palace is crazyyyy🤪😅
Poor Josh dropping a little Buckingham Palace dinner for the homies no longer with him! 😂
45 minutes of pure joy, what a day! THANK YOU JOSH & OLLIE
31:33 omg I remember Ollie’s back being “in slight pain.”
My back problem started almost 10 years ago but four years ago my back pain got to me mentally at 36 years old and have been homebound for the last four years. I just turned 40 and I’m so proud to see how you were able to overcome and has given me hope hearing this, and not knowing how severe it was you until just now. This channel gives me hope. If the physical isn’t working it really effs up your mental status. Thanks for the hope your channel and message brings
As an American born in Texas, I love that one of your favorites was biscuits and gravy! Wish you could taste another classic southern 'peasant' food meal...beans and fried potatoes with some chow chow on the side. And course cornbread. ❤❤❤
And our beloved Terry Blacks!
Always love hearing Grace’s laugh :)
This is a great format! All the studio episodes should be like this from now on. Seeing Grace laugh is even funnier than just hearing her laugh!
43:03 this whole talk about loving Ollie if he was a worm was UNEXPECTEDLY HILARIOUS LMAO "I definitely wouldn't love you if you were a worm" "maybe if you're a puppy it would be easier" "you're a freak of nature worm" "you'll just essentially die in days or a week" "there's not much commitment, it's just for a week you're not going to be my friend" and more 😂 so funny, I think Josh's answers were the most realistic ones in this meme question lol
Great Jolly year! As an American, I really appreciate how much you loved Southern cooking and BBQ. I'm not even from the south, but it is a uniquely American beautiful thing. Thanks and Happy New Year, Jolly crew!
I love the jolly studio experiment shenanigans like improving the hotdog, cotton candy stuff, etc… just generally ollie doing crazy stuff lol jolly studio stuff has the home-kinda fuzzy feeling! This podcast-style video included too!
I was anticipating the carrot-land video and wondered what happened! I also noticed Ollie was around way less often. It all makes sense now, and I hope Ollie is fully recovered!
Thank you all for being the incredible Jolly family that you are!!! You bring more happiness than you know! I'm in addiction recovery and the videos on both channels have provided a much needed distraction during long nights. God bless you and the whole team for just being you!!! ❤❤❤
This made me wish that Grace and Luke did podcasts talking more about behind the scenes stuff of Jolly and Korean Englishman!
You two need to take Max and Armand for some real bbq. Or better yet, take Barney and Govna to the South for a tour of our fine southern delicacies, including Terry Black's in the mix! Im sure they would appreciate all the fine food and the hospitality! It would make great content for us to watch!
Only if they take their Mini-Me's along. Theo and Lorenzo.
Yes, yes, yes Buvna in the USA. Or just more Buvna in 2024. Cheers!
Guys! Don’t worry! At the end, they mentioned that they are taking the month of January off, as a break. They hope to not burn out. Dont worry! They will be back soon in February!!
I love this format, reminiscent of earlier videos. A good middle ground would be having a podcast style review after each series you film is over, reminiscing about the experience and behind the scenes, similar to the KEM ones. Or just this, a year end review. Love your videos!!
You guys are so awesome. I'm an American, and my daughter lives in London.
I love Josh, because he appreciates all food!
I love Ollie, because he can't stomach certain spices or textures. Hilarious!!
Thank you. That deserves all the love we all have to give. Episodes like this one needs to be done more often. Thank you so very much. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Ooh are we finally getting a JOLLY podcast?
it would be awesome!!! even though i have adhd and dislike most podcasts, i’d listen to every episode!! :D
actually, I did just listen to this like if it was a podcast and it felt very natural to listen to them guys for a while. could have been longer, really 🙂
It has the podcast vibes.
I wouldn't be surprised if their member-exclusive streams are like podcasts from time to time
I am so glad Grace is here with her AMAZING laugh!!!!❤❤
The worm question and answer was hysterical. Reminds me of the beginning of Kafka's "Metamorphosis" when the main character, who turns into a cockroach randomly, is berated and abandoned by his family for being an embarrassment. Josh berating Ollie for being a worm.
I was thoroughly influenced by you with the Detroit pizza. I was skeptical as an Italian-Australian used to top tier pizza, but man it was incredible (and I was full the whole day). Even my Italian friend approved of the pictures I sent which was a surprise 😂
Not even a minute in and everything is chaotic 😂😂 this is why we love them
As we close 2023 - - thank you Josh, Ollie, Luke, Grace, Duckie and all your team for the Jolly Good Laughs, Jolly Wholesomeness, Jolly Fun your videos illicit. My world is small, my life is trivial, but you take me and other viewers on journeys. It is appreciated. Best wishes to all in the coming new year! xoxo
This was such an awesome format! Just Josh and Ollie, best friends for 10 years, talking about their experience is just so good. I've always wanted for them to make like a short form podcast, and i get to hear them out 😍! Thank you JOLLY Team, have a great new year celebration and wish you the best of luck in the future!!!
Ollie, we definitely noticed when you were gone! We were all asking where you were! You are the heartbeat of Jolly!!! I think you guys should bring back a merch drop of all special limited editions in 2024 and also do these long unedited video chats/podcast more often.
Your story at Buckingham Palace reminded me of the anecdotal story of Tycho Brahe, a famous astronomer that, if I remember correctly, was known for his precise models of the solar system. The story goes that he attended a royal banquet, had to use the bathroom, but did not as it was considered rude to get up. Afterwards, he developed a kidney or bladder infection (some suggest his bladder ruptured) and he died.
Congratulations to another amazing year, Jolly! Take a well-deserved break and I'm looking forward to 2024 with you guys.
This is a nice relaxing video to listen to with a warm drink and welcome in the new year.
Josh and Ollie, please visit Atlanta soon. There is a large Korean community in the Atlanta area with many Korean restaurants, markets, and other businesses in the area. If you like Texas BBQ and Korean food. There is a restaurant called Heirloom Market BBQ. It marries Texas BBQ with Korean staples. The owner and chefs are a Texan and a former K-Pop star. They have won several awards for this fusion. Bring the wives if you can.
3 months? That’s amazing how much content you guys have prepared and how well your crew works with you guys too. I knew Ollie wasn’t around for a lot of videos (because the side comments were MIA) but I didn’t realize he was just recovering. So glad to have you back then Ollie! Stay healthy!
I definitely noticed your absence Ollie. I even asked in a comment underneath one of your Armax series in Korea where you were. Glad you are better now and ready to smash the new year 😊🩵
Hey! Thanks for the 45 minute episode showing the ‘year in review’. Loved watching you guys all year. So, a bit of trivia that you may or may not appreciate. The pineapple is a symbol of hospitality. This dates back a couple/few hundred years ago to when it was expensive to import/export pineapples. It was so expensive that only the super rich were able to afford them and to show guests that they no expenses were spared for them… to the point that it became a symbol for hospitality. Jessica Vanel has a short RUclips video about it if her curious. Thanks again, guys. Merry Christmas and happy New Years
Oh, and, I’m in to celebrate Carrotland on a yearly….maybe daily basis….. ok maybe once a year.
It's also a symbol of the swinger community ( so I've heard) 😊
Luke and Grace are both hilarious, so glad you guys include them and give them lots of camera time too :)
Ducky doesn’t get any love?
Like the video but it should have been the whole group there.
Ah, poor Ollie!!!! I’m so glad he took time to heal his back!!! That pain is something I can’t begin to imagine … I have had minor back issues but I have dear friends who have dealt with severe issues and it is a level I can’t begin to understand! I’m so sorry!!!! And so glad you are ok now! ❤❤
How in the heck did 45 minutes pass so quickly? This was hilarious and I knew Josh was going to pick Terry Black's!
Right? I would have liked it to got a bit longer.
I so love this episode. And I know it's like the longest Jolly episode to date but I want the uncut version still cos who doesn't want more of Ollie's jokes and puns?
Anyway, thank you for another jolly year! Finding out about you KE and Jolly during the pandemic was definitely the best thing that happened to me during that era. Happiest New Year and I am freaking excited for what is in store for all of us in 2024! Love u!
Thank yall for choosing Terry Black’s it means a lot to us Austin/Texans. Y’all are awesome. Thanks for the positive funny content.
I loved the Carrot Land episode. It’s inspired me to go to New Zealand. You guys are great. Enjoy your holiday and look forward to 2024.
Love the entire Jolly family. Enjoy your break. Thank you all for bringing joy and laughter to the internet. ❤
Would love to see this, more podcast type style. Gives us a look behind the scenes, and gives yall time to explain things that usually have to get squeezed down for a video.
Happy New Year Josh, Ollie, family and staff. I am so grateful for your channels. You bring so much joy. Take care. Love to Rev Chris, Maj Charles and all of your friends. Hug Lizzie and Juno and Gabbie. I try to pray for you all often. Hugs ❣️
Thank you to you and your team (especially Graces laugh) for everything. Happy New Year to you all.
Oli stating "No.1 in China, but
No.2 on your list" - deserved the 👍. I cracked up so hard😂
I LOVE seeing the unedited banter between all of you. A monthly podcast would be awesome. Or even every two months.
This format is incredible. Hope to see more videos like this!
Edit: I propose a tour of Texas BBQ. I think you’d be in for quite the surprise.
I’m from the south in the US. We all love biscuits and gravy that much. It’s a warm hug❤. So proud it’s at the top of your list….. Detroit pizza too!!
I myself and so many others I know, have put their backs out at around 30-40 yrs of age. I did it at my job with disabled children, (repetitive strain injury). Nothing to take lightly and I am glad your team did an "intervention" because it can so easily become chronic. With my injury, it took a full year to recover and to this day, 30 yrs later I am fine. I did a simple rehab/physio for a couple of weeks and voila, better. I hope you are back to normal now. Love your shows.❤❤❤
I am so glad I saw this notification, what a treat to watch this morning a 45-minute video to wrap up at the end of the year. I love this video, I am glad that Ollie took time to recover, he was missed in those videos we didn't see him in. Thank you for the wonderful entertaining and educational content you gave us in 2023, looking forward to more in 2024. Take care of yourselves from here on out, relax, spend time with family and Happy New Year to you all! Peace and Love ☮💕
Thank you Josh, Ollie and the rest of the team for all the hard work you put into your videos. I think I can speak for everyone when I say your videos brings so much joy, happiness and endless of laughter into our lives. So proud of everything you have achieve these past years.Take a well earned rest and we will see you again next year. Happy new year guys.
Personal health is absolutely the first priority!! Take care Ollie! ❤❤❤
Everything will be fine in the end!!!😊😊😊
Omg you guys had an incredible year of travel, food, friends! It was suuuuch a joy as a viewer to watch everything unfold... We're so grateful for your hard work and cannot wait for what 2024 has in store for you! Also would totally listen to you + your whole team for hours on end in this podcast style sit down! Love it!
Love the story about the meal at Chuck-E-Windsor's. It's a wonder you two didn't end up in the Tower of London.
Hope you are on for many more adventures. I have enjoyed every video. Love the boys from the school and all the adventures you took them on. Thank you for all your hard work. Juno won my heart, still smile when I think of her. At 71 I hope to watch you for many more years. Love and grandma hugs to everyone. Bless you all Barbara I am from Missouri USA
Im glad you are feeling much better now, with taking the 3 months off, Ollie!
I love this open dialogue! I just watched entire series backwards and now I just notice how Josh talks sooooo much to the point that I keep wanting more from everyone else. I almost wish I never had bc it stands out so much now. But, overall, I love Jolly beyond words and the team immensely.
I love this recap podcast. We should have it every year. It's like I was with you during the year because the videos I remember 💕
This was a very entertaining episode. I liked how the entire broadcast was relaxed and informative. Great job you two. Enjoy your time off and we will be watching for you in February!
Loved this ep, and particularly loved the decor! Felt like a nostalgic throwback to earlier episodes. Have a great break guys, so well deserved!
Y'all are amazing.👏 🤗It has been a joy to discover you this year, and the journey's been a real pleasure to watch. Thank you for being Jolly (I also enjoy your other channel), you fellas and your whole crew deserve a big round of applause👏👏👏👏 and a pat on the back because you make a lot of people laugh and you lighten the load of sometimes a a heavy day.💛 Many Blessings and a Happy New Year.🍾 Cheers 🥂to your continued success in life and love. 🤗
I love this. You guys are just the best to watch, both channels. Thank you BOTH for all of the happiness and laughter consistently!
I don’t usually devote 45 mins on one video, but you two bring such joy into my mornings that I actually skipped breakfast to watch it. Thank you for this year. Thank you for the laughs. Thank you for the absolutely adorable Mr Z and Armand and Max and Luke and Ducky and Grace. And can I say, I am undeservingly proud that, though you ate like literal kings this year, your top eating experiences were in America. Awesome job guys. Awesome year. Can’t wait to see what new things you’ll bring to us in 2024. Happy New Year!
I love you two gentlemen! You brighten my day every time I watch your videos. Have a wonderful, safe, healthy, happy, prosperous year!
This video is just so quintessentially Jolly, I hope you guys can continue this recap style video for years to come. Thanks guys!
Just imagining Mr Z's reaction if he heard Josh say that the Detroit style pizza from Londom is his favourite pizza of the year.
Have a wonderful break, JOLLY & crew!!! Y'all DESERVE it!!! Thanks for everything you do!!!
I loved this episode so much. I havent been watching your videos as much this year, as I am not that big on watching ppl eat (Altough,I still watched some of it, and of course all the other videos! ) I am so sad to hear Ollie got injured! I am glad he got better, and I hope he knows he is so important and so valuable! He is the reason I feel in love w this channel. I love the crew, Josh, and ngl, I missed Graces laughter in the background. I am glad you guys made this video, and I hope you have a relaxing january, and a fruitful next year!
That way of serving food is what we used to do during wedding receptions when done in the bride’s place, the groom’s relatives will do the serving, while the bride’s family and wedding guests will sit down first. It’s a long table made by putting multiple tables set end to end. I come from the Philipines, we’re talking 1970’s. There’s actually a term for it and it’s definitely European in origin. Saves on number of plates used
Cant believe i just smiled for 45 minutes straight
Thank you for the beautiful ending of the year guys
