I miss you Aussie🇦🇺 and love❤ Australia🇦🇺🐨🦘
Thanks for the shout out😁✌ glad to see that my feedback has been taken onboard as this video was much better i could not fault it !! Great scrapping keep it up👍
Haha no worries mate. Bit of banter 😁 Thanks Spud! 🙏
If you want to see how to scrap a magnetron, watch K&D scrapping and he will show how to scrap ever piece in there.
Yes he’s the one everyone is recommending. Thanks for the advice Edward! 🙏🤙
The only thing you forgot on tge microwave when you scrapped it out was the turn table motor I know they are small but I always take them out
Thanks for the tip mate! 🙏🤙
You kept missing picking up that hand weight. I thought you were going to leave it. lol.
Hello first time watching from USA Kentucky. Awesome haul. Lots of stuff on the curbs. Really enjoyed your video. Thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching Diana! 🙏🤙
Good to see you getting followers from all over the world ,you deserve it you work hard keep up the good work
THUB, Canadian scrapper, Scrapping with Grandpa, Mike the Stavanger all microscrap and do microwaves. Have to be careful, you can get a nasty shock from the transformers. Be safe. Love your videos.
Thanks Madeline 🙂
Wow that is great a penny in your pocket will brought you good luck so always keep a penny in your pocket ok
Like find a penny pick it up, all day long you’ll have good luck! Thanks Beatrice 🙏🤙
👍
Is it worth it? I'm new on this channel and also watching content about dumpster diving. I feel like in Australia you can do 100$ in 3 h of normal work easy. This is more for the fun of what you can get right? Good video 👌🏽
For me it certainly is for the fun of what we find. I think with the steel prices now, it’s definitely possible to make a living. It should be rolling by the third year with buyers lined up for the various bulk lots found. You gotta be physically fit for the fitness tho 😆 Cheers ANZ 🤙🤙
The green metal thing is a gold sluce for gold mining. You put miners cloth in it and run material and water across it to catch the gold.
Thanks Robin. Someone clued me in 🙂 I doubt I’d ever see one of those again.
I just subscribed to your channel! I live in Louisiana in the United States! Love to watch scrappers and I love Australia! So glad I came across your channel today!
Louisiana! I’d love to go to a diner or something and just listen to you guys talk. It’s the accent! Thanks for the sub paula! 🙏🤙
Also watching from Northeast Louisiana and loving it.
I think you are a very good street scraper .don't listen to the negative ones .you are a great person from what I see on your show
Cheers Bonnie! Bit of banter 😉
What a kick-ass day !!! Something for everyone and a bit of everything, loved it. Those magnetrons are good, only thing to avoid is breaking the ceramic (pink or white) electrodes and possibly breathing in any of the dust, which is thought to contain beryllium (toxic heavy metal). leading to lung disease (berylliosis). Don't panic. 👍👍
The more I think about it the more I think it’s not for me. Thanks A! 🙏🤙
What is the magnetron?
That Stanley thermos flask is £70 in the UK and they guarantee them from breakages for life.
I really love your packing , Joe should see Mike the salvaged man on RUclips from Lubbock Texas your new follower (Cordy)
Thanks for following along Cordy! 🙏🤙
Great video Poly. I can't believe how much stuff you find. Sheesh.
Sheesh alright! Thanks TJ 🙏🤙
The Megatron taken apart has aluminum ( the thin flat pieces) the sm screen piece is brass and 2 heavy duty magnets and steel
Hey did u ever try resale u passing up a lot of nice stuff people throw out you can make som more cash buddy
Yes I’ve sold the round table and thermos so far. One thing people often over look is the space needed to store the stuff. If I had the space I’d take more home to resell. Thanks for the advice Mickey 🤙🤙
New Sub just now....Hello all from north of Denver, Colorado in America! Have a great weekend! Stay safe! Peace.....

Thanks for subscribing Kandi! 😊🙏🤙
Hello Mate I'm from the good Ole USA 🇺🇸 I've watched a few of your videos just goes to show we all throw away the same stuff glad there's people out there like you scrapping.
Hey Jim thanks for the support brother! 🙏🤙
Olá, não percebi bem o que levas. Mas também não precisa destruir os brinquedos, cortar fios elétricos, porque pode alguém querer. Me desculpe.
Hi mate i hope you are well and and thanks for the new video...greetings from Berlin !! 👍
Thank you mate 🙏🤙
I'm from GALVESTON COUNTY TEXAS.IM A SCRAPPER ALSO. BUT I TAKE ALL SCRAP.NO MATTER HOW SMALL OR LIGHT WEIGHT IT IS
Yeah I see it’s mad competition where you’re from. Thanks for watching Claude!
iam from Memphis Tennessee I don't leave anything behind, like valcum cleaners.
That sure was some really amazing stuff, some of those things could have been sold ob ebay for some good cash, but I guess people aren't really interested in that nowadays. Oh well, great video 👍👍😊
Yeah there’s a lot of steps that could be taken before booking the curb side pick up. People must be busy (lazy?) Thanks for watching mate 🙏🤙
It's groovy watching how things are done on another continent halfway around the world. One thing I love about you is you are very organized. Stay cool and stay safe. ♥️✌️
@jace sure about that. 👂
I have a question why didn’t u take the wire and the turntable motor and that motor has dencent cooper
Hey Chris. Skipping the wire in the microwaves is a bad habit of mine. Trying to shake it 😅 I’ve not yet tried the turntable motor. Is it a lot of screws to get it?
No not hard some of em all u need is a flat head pop the cover of and one screw holding it in
Ok sweet I’ll give it a go 👌
I see you were in the you were up and down with taking a positron out on the microwaves when you take them out you get a brass washer you get the two big heavy magnets and in between the two magnets every one of those plates is aluminum and then the positron itself. You take depositron and when it goes from the dime size up to like an inch size there you want to cut right on the edge of that it's copper folded around with metal The whole center piece at fat piece is all copper and as long as you don't cut into the other ends you don't have to worry about anything it's not going to get radiation or sick or anything just throw that in your your metal one. Also the back of the microwaves are usually it's usually the bottom there's metal that's got holes in it there's a little square you take your wire cutters and you look at it you cut the little pieces all pull the metal out of the way there is a motor there with really bare bright copper in it it's not like tons of it but as many microwaves you're getting you that up real quick it's easy to take out and it it's easy money
Mate great advice here! I’ve had a go at the turntable motor now. Super easy!
Another great video dude I'm here in the United States in Pennsylvania and I will start watching your videos a couple of weeks ago I was just catching up the classic container you had on your tailgate at the end when you show what you have left over it had special teeth in there those teeth go to a stump grinder for eating waste dumps and logs other stuff like that if they're in good shape you can get good money for them I know they're expensive here in the United States
Hmmm I don’t remember the stump grinder?! I’d say they’d be expensive here too
At the end of the video when you had everything on the ground and some of the stuff on your truck it was a on the left corner of the tailgate you open it up those metal pieces inside there are teeth for stump grinders
@@dalesmith147 Wow is that what they are? I still have them. Thanks for the education mate 🙏🤙
Awesome day out. If you do take those megnatrons apart be careful most have toxic powder in them. The white tube.
Watch a few videos on them. Enjoyed 👍👍
Thanks will do Barry! 🙏🤙
Hi, Poly morning...just SUB. Thanks for sharing video.👏👏👏
Thank you bro! 🙏🤙
Nice looking piles of materials and even better prices /cheers ScrapBongo Liked
New subscriber here from New Brunswick CANADA . I am sure I just found one of the top 5 scrapping channels on the tube . You are the first that I have seen scrapping microwaves in the side of the road . most scrappers throw the money in them directly into the shred pile . I will be benge watching your channel for sure .
Thanks mate. I’ve graduated to breaking them down this way. Old videos I didn’t even pick them up 😅 Learning. Thanks for tuning in gary!🙏🤙
Many places give away the glass plates from inside the microwave. They are very expensive to replace too.
you are the best, but EwasteBen is better
Yeah he’s up there in the GOAT conversation. 🐐👑 My fav by far!
OH be careful not to break the magnetron center. there is very poisonous stuff in most of them.
You probably know E waste ben ? He always goes to menhari !
Yeah I wish Manhari was around the corner. I’d definitely go there 🤙🤙
Love watching you and will encourage others to watch
Thank you so much Vickie! 🙏🤙

That’s it. Move things on asap!
Nice load bro .we got our money's worth today. I am now a new subscriber. Cheers! ..
Thank you Look! 🙏🤙
I enjoyed the video.
What tools do you recommend for a newbie getting into scrapping?
Thanks Liam! Side cutters, multi grips, small sledgehammer and Cordless drill is a good start. Cordless grinder and reciprocal saw are handy as well 🙂
Magnets! Don’t forget the magnets bro 👌
In microwave small door on bottom usually 1 screw take out turntable motor.
Keep the advice coming. Cheers Donna 🙏🤙
@@PolyProphet I am just trying to be helpful. I love watching your videos. You find such great stuff.

No worries Brenda 🙂
100 for the.load was ok, at least you got more vallue stuff in the Copper, Alu, Games and Electronics like the Laptop
I put a fresh windows 10, and gave papa the laptop, for fixing Rickety James 😁
@@PolyProphet Thats cool !
Polly price's, where I live are awfully high, I turn in 1100 pounds of copper#1 @ 4.50 a pound @ 530 pounds of yellow brass @ 3.00 a pound...when your scraping have you ever tried to sell one of those rideable kid's car to sell.?
Great prices marc! I’ve sold one years ago. I replaced the battery and it was perfect. I forget how much I sold it for. Maybe one day I’ll get a small warehouse to bring all the things with me 😁
How come you don't grab the wires when you take the battery out of the toy cars? I've seen you pick up smaller wire from other stops. Just curious .
I’m not too sure. I used to skip them because my cutters were blunt. Now I have new ones so there’s no excuse really 🤔
I can't believe you scraped the gold sluice. I would be surprised if it wasn't an easy resale. Also do you ever check the side burners on grill? Sometimes they will have a brass burner ring.
Wow I just learned something! I doubt I’d ever come across one of those again. Spewin! I did find a brass burner in the up coming video 🙂 Thanks for your advice Martin 🙏🤙
I'm full of useless info. 😁 Been scraping as a side hustle for about 35 years or so.
35 years! Very Impressive. My experience is a drop in the ocean in comparison. Accepting any and all useless information 😉
Brass fittings on that water hose
Yes great tip Gail! Thank you 🙏🤙
Hello!
May I ask please if you are in Sydney?
My father loves your videos & consistently watching from the Philippines. He is coming to Australia soon. If possible, I really wish he can meet you.
Thank you!
G’day Len. No I’m in Melbourne. Hope he enjoys his trip down under 😊
My biggest reward is watching your videos! You got your game on proper now. Excited with every new video
Thanks so much Irene! 🙏🤙
Go to K&d scrapping channel and he has a video of how to break down the magnetron and if you can find it on Canadian treasure Hunter he has some vids of breaking them down too but it's in amongst all the other stuff so harder to find and I think maybe shark scrapper has one too.
K&D is the one most are recommending. Thanks for the advice Stuart! 🙏🤙
@@PolyProphet he is probably the best bet gets detailed but not long winded
love the video poly davey east london scrapper uk
Cheers davey bro! 🙏🤙
Sorry, it's the magnetron that are dangerous. Be careful.
You forgot the cord from the yellow vacuum or power washer. And don't you take Christmas lights and Barbeques?
Dang I try not to but it happens sometimes 😅 My yard only pays scrap steel price for Xmas lights. They used to buy them as low grade wire. I’ve learnt from my experience that BBQs don’t weigh much for the space they take. I’d rather leave that space for something else. Thanks for watching Melinda! 😊🙏🤙
this is just a question ok. But when you get batteries out of little cars, why do you never cut the wires. you loose so much copper wire that way. just wandering.
It’s a bad habit of mine. I had blunt cutters for a long while. It was a pain to cut in tight quarters like that. Now it’s a habit.
More please see all your videos and be safe hi from the uk in London thanks you
Thanks Paul! 🙏🤙
Cool merci 🙏👍👍👍👍
Hello Polly, you had a great day. On the magnetron KD Scrapping and go to microwave and he has a great video. He is a Canadian scraper that does micro scrapering for a living. I think you might enjoy it and the best of luck to you.
I’ll check it out. Thank you Ron 🙏🤙
Poly that keg should be able if you check might have a deposit on it.Another good video and thanks for the ride bro.
Sweet thanks for the advice John! 🙏🤙
Hey mate, found you from Mike the Scavenger - he recommended you 😁. Good to see scrapping in Aus.
Mike is the man! Thanks for watching Ze!

Good break down time on the micro. 3 minutes. Only thing missed was the plate Motor but that is 10 seconds so about 3:10 seconds
I like this sort of challenge! I’ll have another go next one I see 🤙🤙
Great 1st eun!!!!+👍👍👍👍 Love you Poly & all your videos! ❤❤❤❤❤ You're in my prayers 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

Good morning Mister and success
Morning Moh! 🤙🤙
empty game boxes sell for $5
I find certain game boxes sell over here. The ones I found were all cracked. Thanks for the advise Donna 🙏🤙
Sweet as! Always an enjoyable ride along street scrapping. Don't recommend messing with magnetrons - they contain toxic beryllium oxide. 👍🤙
Thanks for the advice Geoff! 🙏🤙

@@PolyProphet you're very welcome 💕😁

Thanks for watching Judy! 🙏🤙
40 cm of snow here . Will just watch you clean up today !✌🏻
😮🥶 Cheers Tom 🙏🤙
You do pretty good on your scrap runs but if a person had a larger truck and trailer they could take a lot more and do really good
Yes agreed! I hope to upgrade my trailer by Easter🤞Thanks Christopher 🙏🤙
@@PolyProphet and within the hour the trailer is on its way to Sinaloa.
@@PolyProphet A bigger trailer to hold more is great but maybe a little harder to maneuver in close neighborhoods? First video I watched, I noticed your Nissan has a four foot bed? Seems so tiny. The auto industry has really screwed up the Pickup Truck (IMO). I've got a stiff riding Ford F-250 because of the 8' bed. If I ever trade it in, I'll go back to the cushy ride of the F-150 but try to custom order from the factory for a real bed. Lol!
@@brockshields9336 I’ve had some time to think about this and I’m really enjoying the current set up. Bigger means more fuel consumption, less mobility and buying registration for the bigger trailer. $90-120 for a load that takes me 2-3hrs to pick ain’t bad at all. Then there’s the extras on top! 🤙🤙
@@PolyProphet I love my 8' bed but with the super cab it doesn't fit into tight spots. You do seem to load up a lot of stuff in your 4 footer. I'd say your current setup looks pretty efficient.
why would you leave that Grill.
I don’t think they are worth the space on my trailer bro. Thanks for watching 🙏🤙
Good morning 🌄🌄
Morning 😊
Great video pal👍🏻
Thanks Mick! 🙏🤙
I wish i lived there. never find good stuff where I live.
Where you from Donna?
@@PolyProphet I live in Oklahoma, USA
Ahh I see. Seems like heavy competition over your way.
There is a small motor in the plate outside
In the microwave?
Love your videos... In Croatia you may dreaming for that scrap.
Well done. Great video thanks. 💙
🤜🤛
👍
Very nice video idol
And by the way get all the wire from microwaves too it all adds up..and I'm from Halifax nova Scotia Canada started scrapping 30 plus years ago cheers and stay safe
I sometimes cut the cords out if I’m not on the road but usually skip in favour of getting in front of more piles. It’ll be 2 years in February for me 🙂
You should not do that on the street man you leave the things on the street for people car wheels
Really like your videos. U S A
New York State
Aww thank you Kaz! 😊🙏🤙
How much was the scrap
Hey bro ... always watching your Video...
Do you take the tyres off before scrapping?
I haven’t in the past but plan to in the future
