- Hey! here's how my second year of med sci went... I think I'm pretty satisfied with my results. My only regret is that I didn't try my hardest, but i DID try though (stats kinda killed my module average)! Leave me any questions/comments on third year or anything really, and I'll get back to them in my next video! ✌️
tldr - didn't do many ECs, courses were meh (in terms of enjoyment), grades and GPA are fine, but idk what is going to happen with my enrollment to year 3 modules (to be announced!)
whoops I also pronounced manga kinda funny I just realized from rewatching

oml congrats man, those are great stats!!!
Ty! Stats was not cool though haha
Although I´m future med student from from Czechia (Europe), I´ve found your video pretty interesting! Yeah, our system is a bit different from yours, but I liked it! Looking forward to your next videos :)
ty! good luck in the coming years:)
Great vid man! Questions about RUclips: Why did you start a channel and what keeps you going?
I'm also a Western student and your channel looks well established; I feel like I could learn a thing or two from ya!
I do it because I'm bored sometimes, and I guess the content helps some people.
Wow that's a solid gpa dude. Thanks for making this video! So what are your plans for this summer? Most people write their MCAT after their 2nd year right?
Yeah, some people are writing it this summer. I'm just gonna chill and just workout like usual (taking a break basically)
Hey do you have any tips for studying biochem -and taking notes for this class? Have a midterm coming up and very nervous
Hi Martin I’ve been watching your videos for a while! I was super interested in medsci at Western for about a year now, but I’m also leaning much more towards engineering now. I think I’ve decided that I do not want to go the medicine pathway, so do you think a medsci degree would be worth it keeping that in mind? I’m really interested in health but I don’t know what I could work as otherwise. As well as I prefer math based courses which i believe engineering would offer more of, rather than biology based courses.
imo, I don't think med sci really gives an advantage to go into medicine, so if you've looked at the program's courses and thought to yourself that it's not something you'd want to do then I'd suggest going for another program! You could always take health-related courses as electives, though idk how many electives the engineering degree allows
Hey Martin, great video what camera do you use?
My phone haha (Samsung s10)
How does the Canadian gpa system translate over to if you want to apply to schools in the US? The gpa scale is different in Canada so I thought I was tripping when I saw your grades and then your gpa
I think it may vary from school to school so it's somewhat convoluted. I will look more into it and probably make it into a video for future reference
:)
:)
methods writing section SUCKED bro u must’ve mastered boring writing 💀💀
LOLOL jkkkk i’m only saying that cuz i suck at it haha
LOL yo lowkey if you read the entirety of your research papers it actually makes the paper so much easier to write than just skimming results (like I've done in the past 😂)
