Jak 2’s platinum is made far easier when you know that every version of this game has an easily doable exploit where you find an orb chase challenge that just has an orb sitting in the open world, and you double jump above it, pause the game, hit reset challenge (or abandon challenge? I forget) and then Jak falls on top of the orb as the game starts reloading and the game just….. gives you those orbs anyways. You can repeat this over and over until you hit the number needed for “100%”
Hell yeah, I've been having the same feeling and have been platinum hunting the past 4/5 years or so. Up to 31 platinum at the moment close to 32. You're also spot on about how it really shows you all the game has to offer with the good general experience plus all the bad, stupid shit the game has to offer. I love it.
Great job on getting the Jak 2 Platinum. I tried to get it years ago and raged quite a bit, especially on those race track matches. I ended up not being able to get it because the game screwed me over. I was doing a challenge in the overworld where you have to get to the orb in time and as I was picking it up I got shot and killed. I died before the game could register that I picked it up but after the game registered that the challenge was completed. The challenge was unavailable but I didn't get the credit for picking up the orb so I was just fucked. I know that there is a glitch where you can get unlimited orbs doing some pause trick, but there weren't any other spots for me to do it on. Good luck with Jak 3. The driving in the desert sucks ASS. The handling is atrocious.
I only have a few platinums.. I didn’t even do most of these on purpose. I just loved the games and wanted to keep playing: Spiderman ps4, Spiderman 2, ff7 remake, ff7 rebirth, Elden Ring, ghost of Tsushima
Platinuming Elden Ring was hell, having to do the last 2 zones 3 times in a row killed my desire to play soulslikes. Platinuming Bloodborne, on the other hand was a chill experience. Never gonna touch chalice dungeons again though.
Plat for stranger of paradise is really fun. 100%for the dlc is a challenge and you probably wouldn't be able to beat it as the boss fights are pretty tough
trophy hunting is meth, gives you a great high for a party but you don’t feel like you really needed it, then next place you go you do it again and then eventually you can’t help but light up a rock every time you do anything social
I’ve platinumed three games 1. Elden Ring is surprisingly easy given the size 2. Bloodborne isn’t too bad except chalice dungeon 3. Sekiro is ass, if u know u know
i got the 100% for persona 5 royal when i did 3 playthroughs in 4 months i didn’t do the extra playthroughs because i wanted the 100% i did it because i loved the game and wanted to play it more
Why is it such a staple in games for there to be hundreds of collectables scattered around that aren't integrated into normal, fun gameplay and exist exclusively to be collected? At least give me cheat codes, bonus features, or SOMETHING in return, damn. I don't wanna go collect 100 flags and 100 feathers just because they're there. I also agree that Bloodborne was a pretty easy platinum. I don't remember needing to go out of my way very much for any of them. P.S. Can't think about Bloodborne without getting irritated that a 10-year old game locked at 30fps remains untouched as one of the best PS exclusives ever while the 8-year old Horizon Zero Dawn has already gotten a PC port, remaster, and fking Lego remake.
Remember when we called it Achievement hunting? Pepperidge farms remembers.

Watching you play Jak 2 on and off in between sleeps and other daily activities was a fever dream
Online only trophies are unforgivable

Hear me out.. Shadow of Mordor platinum. It's a pretty easy Platinum and SUCH an under-rated game.
Platinuming Elden Ring was hell, having to do the last 2 zones 3 times in a row killed my desire to play soulslikes.

Jak 2 all the way baby. It's a gauntlet you go through, and coming out of it the better is the real test

Completed my platinum/all trophies for Kingdom Hearts from KH1 to Melody of memories
And yes got risk taker

I too got lucky and got the Fall Guys Platinum back in 2020. I can barely win 2 shows in a row nowadays. Can't imagine 5 ...
I don’t hunt trophies, I collect them. I’ll play games casually, and if I like a game a lot, I’ll honor it by going for the plat
Some of those older games were not designed to have trophies
That’s why it seems “ bad game design “

Honestly, I have no real interest in trophies and the only game I’ve ever platinum was Elden Ring ehich may tell you something lol

I just platted LOP. Because of certain game mechanics, no cloud saving, & me being a dumb ass, it took me ng+5. Love that game, but it was a shitshow
To be fair, that jumping food stream/highlight video was an actual masterpiece
You should've said how many platinums you have! I also love trophy hunting, Im currently sitting at 52 platinum trophies
Im in the 30's Im a late bloomer
@SunburnedAlbino That's fair my collections been going since PS3 so I've had plenty of time to build it up haha
@@SunburnedAlbinodamn I only have three
remember when there was a guy that completed games on his RUclips channel? pepperidge farms remembers.
I've completed dark souls game offline... it's hell do not attempt...
I simply can't be bothered. There are a few games that I did, but that's far from the norm. I get where you're coming from though.
I don’t get why people like whole “ Elden open world and cryptic mechanics are god tier game development”
Like you like being lost for 1000s of hours
