I'd love to go out there with you guys sometime. Although, I've never tried one of those Hobie's with the pedals. I grew up racing and touring kayaks I had to paddle. How different does it feel? In rough water do you have a way to brace? Do you take out a paddle?

Beautiful fish… in the Outback model I bought because that’s what you were using when I was going at it hard! Maybe I’ll rig my big Ocean up with a trolling motor. But, I’ll hang on to my Hobie 2020 too!
I cringe sometimes when I spend $$$ on the gear and all that, but catching a 20lber like this… makes you realize how worth it is. I mean where I’m at, that’s a $600 fish all day at
$30/lb for chinook salmon. Lingcod and rockfish here go for round $15/20 per pound so when you’re fillin the freezer with good healthy meat like that… a few good fat fish and your gear has paid for itself
