Hi Glen, love the work you do. Does Mastering Woodturning Series: No.5 Dublin Viking Bowl - DVD teach me the basics as I have never had a lesson before and never turned before but would love to try this bowl to start off. I now have a lathe that I can use and very keen to start. Thanks
Hi Cameron, The DVD does explain step by step in a clear manor but I would suggest that you make the form a little more open for your first go as closed forms are more challenging for a novice.

After looking at the shape, I think that bowl kept the Viking's food inside the bowl while on the sea.
