this was my first geared bike, cannot recommend it enough to anyone 17 year old. Fantastic learner bike, the tank seems bottomless on the amount of miles you get out of it.

Always amazes me the gaps you get through! This is my bike, been on it for about 14 months and have totally outgrown it. It's a good learner bike and has served me well, but the service schedule (same as Grom) is ridiculous. The fuel Economy is insane though.

  • @MrFastback20

i had a cbf125 ´11 , bought it in 2012 and just now upgraded to a M&Z Baghira. I loved my little 125 , the cbf has all you need as a starter. With its 130kg its so light and so easy to handle, i was even able to recover 3 times from a blocking front tire due to its weight. It has only 11hp instead of the 15 ( atleast the 2011 version had only 11horses) but i mean it was enough to keep up with daily traffic, town traffic and so on. I am a tall person (1.88m) and i had no problem with it. It´s tall for a 125 and everybody who is a bit taller wont have any problems sitting on it. A friend of mine had the cbr125 and it was completely diffrent, in my eyes alot worse.

i love my cbf !!! its my first bike its been great so far i did 3000 miles in the first 2 months of having it... whoops, it does everything i need and more even though being a very simple bike, and so cheap on fuel !!! and its not sluggish for a 125 as some people may say im 5 foot 3 and weigh less than a small pebble though and with little wind and a good tuck i can achieve the grand speed of 85mph witch is more than enough for me ;) great bike loved the video a pleasure to watch !!!!

Yay this is my bike! The only downsides really are the VERY quiet exhaust and the static front ( I don't like it much either) but for my first bike I love it! I've been doing 150 miles a day commuting and the fuel economy is fantastic for me. Feels great but since I've had it for a fair number of months I feel like I could upgrade to something a bit more powerful and more to my looks and sound once I do my a2 liscence. Also it has fairly skinny tires (80 front, 100 back) and in very bad weather it's good to just take it easy

I went to a Honda dealership before buying my Grom (1 month ago, first bike), something about it was just so much more appealing than this and the CBR. Admittedly I'd been set on the Grom and nothing else for a while but I'm just not a fan of the skinny tires and how similar to every other bike the CBF is.
Thought I might as well buy a bike I enjoy and I'm stupidly happy with my decision.

We have one of these as a commuter bike my Wife uses to get to work. We've never had any major trouble with it.....but it doesn't handle very well in the wet. The tyres that come with it (Conti-Go) are not very sticky in the wet. Finding alternative tyres is difficult as the wheel sizes are odd. And it needs a valve clearance service every 2500 miles.....with a major service every 7500 miles. Apart from those small points, all is good. Cheap to buy, cheap to run. A full tank lasts us 2 months for the mileage we do on it.

These are fantastic 125cc learner legal bikes. Great for starting out. We use a fleet of them for our CBT Centre in Manchester. There is one thing that could be improved and that is the centre stand pummel which is very weak and does snap off easily compared to the Honda CG125cc. Other than that they are great.

This is the successor to the Cg125 which if you didnt know is probably the best commuter bike ever made in the history of biking! :D you could run it on a cup full of oil and it would keep going and theres a reason why they are still massively popular in Asia they are extremely cheap to run bulletproof and quite fun to ride infact I still have my 06 cg. The cbf on the other hand has had numerous problems, mainly the ones built in India have had fuel filter problems causing the kangaroo effect I initially thought about selling the cg and upgrading to the cbf but the reliability isnt there id rather go ybr125 instead.

Yeah I could see that steering being a problem...At night you want that head light pointing in the direction that you are travelling in, not pointing into a hedge or the side of the road as you take a corner or turn left or right.

Really considering getting into motorcycles and was worried where to get a good 125 starter, checked the Honda website and literally the first thing to greet me was the CB125F, brand new for £2799? I think I just might go ahead with it!
