  • Happy Friday everyone. Many years ago there was a bowling alley. In my younger days, I would go there often.. Had alot of fun there too. But, came the day when one of the owners passed away. So, it was sold. The new owners decided to make a banquet hall out of it. That did not last long at all. A friend of ours now owns it. But, has yet to do anything with it. Dont know if he will.

My family built the bowling allley in 1965 and ran it as a family business for about 15 years. There were 12 AMF lanes with a snack bar, a great restaurant and live music on Friday and Saturday nights. None of the original owners passed away at that time, but sold it and retired or moved on to other ventures. Over the next few years it changed hands several times and continued to run as a bowling alley. We moved out of the area and lost track. But I understand that eventually it was turned into a successful banquet hall for several years. It's sad to see it abandone

The 80's was probably the height of bowling. They should have held onto the business for another decade. $$$

At least it's good to see most of the lanes were removed, along with all the pinsetters. I hope they didn't go to waste. I was a Brunswick mechanic for many years and use to love rebuilding the pinsetters. Unfortunately, bowling is a dying sport and most bowling centers will become abandoned soon. The old pins make excellent firewood and the lanes are great for making benches or tables out of them. Excellent video.

We are glad you enjoyed it. Yeah, the machines have been gone for sometime now.. not sure where they went.. It looks like some people already helped themselves to pieces of the ally. I hope they figure out what's gonna happen to the place before its too late.. thanks again for watching. We really appreciate it

I really hope bowling makes a comeback. I doubt it will be completely dead as an activity, but the decline is sad to me. Lifelong bowler.

AMF (last I heard) didn't allow for purchase of the machines--you had to lease them (A friend of mine has a 60 lane house 50 miles from me). Brunswick machines you had to buy.@@jeadventures007

With the condition of the first part of the building, I didn't expect the bowling alley to be so decayed.
Definitely would have been cool to get a sticker or a toy, but it's much funnier for us the way it played out LOL

I should know better that to be eating when you fridge and toilet guys are exploring...lol. Bet you could have gotten a lower back tramp stamp tattoo out of that machine had you tried 😉. Funny how just that one large hall was in such decent shape, was that a newer addition do you think?
    Good explore guys...Peace

It so sad seeing the building in the shape it’s in I worked there for a year or so near the end of it’s run as a bowling alley and restaurant what a waste of a good building.
