Inside an abandoned Ryan's Restaurant

We stopped by this location for dinner and realized after going inside that the Restaurant was abandoned. The doors were unlocked so we couldn't pass up an opportunity film this location.

I used to go to that same ryans every Sunday when I was a kid there was also one on patton Avenue that closed in 2012

This was my families go to place growing up, parents were first generation immigrants so we didn't really have much american food at home. Unfortunately all the Ryan's in my state closed down years ago and were all torn down

Ahh it makes sence now, they went broke bc they never turned off the lights. Even after closing down they have ice being made and freezers running

The one in my hometown shutdown in early 2016, and they did it the only way you can, by not telling anyone at all and having them show up in the morning to a note on the door saying they were out of a job.

Wow. Absolutely wow. Whos paying the massive power bill to keep everything running?? Those walk in coolers and freezers alone use a lot of energy, and to leave them running with no food is just a waste of power. Also i cant believe they have not broken down. I do commercial refrigeraton, and these coolers need regular maintrnance. Also the fact that there is a full bin of ice, that tells me yhat the water is still on as well, because that ice bin is not refrigerated, the ice on the bottom is always melting and water is going into a drain below the unit, so that ice machine is continiously dropping a fresh batch of ice on the top so the ice you see on top when you opened the lid is probably just been recently made. Again ice machines also need regular maintenance. Very sad this place is just sitting like this. Id love to buy it. All the refrigeraton and equipment is worth big bucks. I would imagine that it will all be auctioned off to the public, and when everything is sold and removed, then the building will be demolished. That alarm panel alone would drive me crazy with its beeping. I would remove the panel, and disconnect the beeper speaker thats inside. I did that at a restaurant i worked at years ago, got tired of hearing that thing beep everytime someone went in or out the front door. The alarm system was not even in serice so was not an issue. Great video. Hope someone reopens this place.

Did you see like a white ghostly person showering? Faces in corners and under a table? Lol What did the note say on the fuse box? Were people living there?

No We didn't see any of that. The note said "turn off yellow breakers only". There was no sign that anyone was living in there.

In Sandusky we used to have Ryan’s but golden corral I don’t know buy it
