    Hello I just recently came across your videos and they’ve been incredibly helpful! I wanted to ask if you’d have any recommendations on getting my 2022 390 duke to pop wheelies , I know the new models can out of the dealer but mine has a slightly smaller displacement, if there’s any modifications you can recommend it’d be greatly appreciated!

    • @MotoMirius

      Using power to make a wheelie is not the best or safest way to do it, so I recommend this video to show you the correct way to do it. Good luck and be brave! ruclips.net/video/8ZrRSG6lopA/видео.htmlsi=z3YHsSwkrDPflPUV

    Hi! Excellent video. Any idea if the new adventure 390 has softer monoshocks then duke 390 of 2019, maybe second gen. I wanted a more comfortable ride on roads.

    • @MotoMirius
      @MotoMirius  7 месяцев назад

      I would imagine that the Adventure has a longer rear shock which would be an issue. This shock can be rebuilt so it would be possible to change the spring.

    i’ve just got myself a WP apex rear shock off a husky 401 for my Duke, instead of hacking the original swing arm to enable adjustment would a 2023 390 duke swing arm fit my 2018 model year?

    • @MotoMirius
      @MotoMirius  4 месяца назад +1

      As mentioned in the video I'm running a 2021 401 swinging arm in my 2017 Duke. The only part that changed was the swinging arm, so I see no reason why you would have issues. If you want to be absolutely sure then check the part numbers for the wheel, axle and swinging arm bolt etc - if they are the same for 2018 and 2023 then they will fit.

    What the part number on this ? Is this the same one available on adv 390 ??
    Edit : For the 200, can i use the one from adv 390 or duke 390 ??

  • @enshongmiranda
    @enshongmiranda 10 дней назад

    Unrelated to this but have you had some noise on the front sprocket area after replacing the monoshock? I replaced my monoshock with a longer one since the units we get here in my country are lowered. Not sure if it affected the swingarm and chain clearances too much but I've had a rattling noise near my front sprocket as I can only hear it on the left side if I move my leg away while riding. I've already loosened the chain quite a bit.

    • @MotoMirius
      @MotoMirius  9 дней назад

      Changing the shock with one of the same rate should not make much difference - but a longer shock with more travel could allow the chain to touch - loosening the chain may make this worse. I've never heard of KTM supplying shorter rear shocks as standard.

    • @enshongmiranda
      @enshongmiranda 9 дней назад

      @ Well, not KTM per se. Husqvarna. In the Philippines, the 401s (essentially reskinned 390s) are sold with a 290mm rear monoshock as well as shorter front forks as default to reduce seat height which made ground clearance terrible. 😅

    • @MotoMirius
      @MotoMirius  9 дней назад

      @@enshongmiranda I didn't know that, but I'm not surprised - bit surprised they don't do it in India. I'm familiar with the 401 - I run 401 wheels and suspension on my 390.

    Sir does this fit with 2019 duke 390?

    • @MotoMirius
      @MotoMirius  Год назад +1

      Yes, your Duke is the same as the one you saw it fitted to in the video, which is a 2017. You will need to slightly modify the ribs on your swinging arm mount as I showed in the video - you can use a file to do this if you don't have anything else. You could get away with a small bent screwdriver which you can buy but easier just to make a small adjustment.

    • @MotoMirius

      You will need to lift the bike in order to remove the back wheel. To remove this there can be no weight on the suspension.

    Hi David, I've just brought a duke 390, what mods do you recommend just to make it run better etc. I'm 40 so the face down ass you break neck speeds are not what I'm after, just happy with it sitting at the speed limit comfortably

    • @MotoMirius
      @MotoMirius  11 месяцев назад +4

      Hi, ah just a youngster then! To be honest, the stock bike sits just fine at the speed limit. I've been doing some regular runs along the motorway recently so I'm running a 42 on the rear which just drops the revs a bit at 70 and helps my fuel economy since that is where my setup starts to dump fuel into the engine. Biggest mistake people make is to try and plod along in low revs - engine was not designed for that, so while you can alter the fuelling to make it better, best course is just not to do it - typically if I'm below 4k revs it's because I'm waiting at a junction. But the FuelX Lite will improve low speed running for most people because it's a bit over lean because of emissions. Otherwise mods are mostly personal preference on sound levels etc.

      I recommend swapping the oem spark plug for iridium, sorted out the frequent stalling issue on my 390 ADV. The copper electrode on the OEM plug had mostly gone by 9k miles and the gap was 1.4mm!

    Hey what are some mods i can do to my ktm duke 125 to get more power, i decided nkt to go whit difrent sprocket because it is not big difrence but i will be getting pigiback and air filter what shoud i do more, thanks in advance

    • @MotoMirius
      @MotoMirius  11 месяцев назад

      It's difficult to generate more power with the 125 because it is such a small engine - even a 50% power increase doesn't make a huge difference in the real world. The best recommendation I can give is to invest into getting the larger engine version unless you cannot do that because you are age restricted. The most effective difference is the one you don't want to do which is to put a larger sprocket on the back - this helps to overcome the lack of torque made by the small engine - so this would be the starting point.

    • @MotoMirius
      @MotoMirius  11 месяцев назад +1

      It is a really difficult position to be in. I wouldn't spend too much money on the bike because the performance upgrades won't do a lot for the money - but consider the bigger rear sprocket. Invest instead in becoming a better rider so you can maximise what you can get out of the bike and so you can breeze through the tests once you are old enough@@dujeklanac1639

    • @MotoMirius
      @MotoMirius  11 месяцев назад +1

      I would do the mods then see if you want a bigger sprocket. If you do then I'd suggest trying a 48. You will need a longer chain - likely 114-116 links but typically the next size up if often 120 and you just remove the links you don't need. @@dujeklanac1639
