Last year from my small yard haunt, I got about 200 kids. I actually ran out of treats.. This year, I got about 250+ kids, and still ran out of treats, even though I bought extra. 😅
Don't worry about this year's turn out, because there are a whole new group of kids who will turn up for your haunt. I am so happy to be apart of the home haunt family, because it's rewarding to me, to give my community a moment of fun and frights.
Most of my props are handmade, and I do have a few animatronics. I hope to get more as time and finances allow. Yes, my haunt got a lot of compliments too, with one dad stating that my haunt should be on the local news...Lol😅
I don't know about that, maybe if my haunt was on the same level as yours..😊
It's all fun, and when I overheard a teenage girl talking to her friends, my heart bubbled over into mush, as tears filled my eyes.
She said, "This is my childhood." ... 😭It gave me Happy Tears, because I created a wonderful memory for this young person's life.. Wow!
This is why I do this. It's for my neighborhood, and my community. So, don't worry about the size of the crowds visiting your haunt each year, the most important thing is that you are creating wonderful memories for the children, and their parents each Halloween.. I'm all about the positive, and spreading positivity...

Yea so true I love Halloween and seeing the kids and parents enjoy themselves and make memories on something I put together is the biggest reward keep it up guys great video and great words 🎃🎃

great looking set up, I think every body had lighter turn outs this year except for the pro Haunts, Halloween on a Tuesday or school day is usually lame. they need to just make it an observed Holiday so it's always the weekend, no idea why people fight that. you guys did a fantastic job, don't be discouraged home haunting is going to only grow in popularity, youll see. Again, great job and great set up

Just now making it over here after putting all my stuff away. I also had a lighter year than last, kind of a bummer but it is what it is. Im sure that the next few years will be better since it’s not in the middle of the week. Everything looked amazing! Always look forward to seeing what’s next.
I'm wondering if parents are doing the Trunk or Treats with the kids instead of the traditional Trick or Treating. Every video I watched on RUclips, everybody said the same thing about Halloween night being less than normal. Anyway, Thank you so much and we hope you had a great Halloween!!

I used to do a Haunted House, but when attendance dropped off after 2020, It was not worth all the hard work for only a few to visit. Trunk or Treat has taken root in my area.
Ours as well. There are trunk or treats all over our area.
