    Worth to mention that Maersk takes also other efforts and investments in hull optimatizations such as a applying a resistance reducing hydrogel silicone coating called Hempaguard from Hempel paints.

    Carbon credits to offset emissions are likely to make us all quite poor. :/ The EU should not push industries toward a green future for this reason.

      Firms can either buy carbon offsets from the market or use that cash to cut carbon emissions by investing in retrofit energy cutting tech

    The issue is most ships under construction now are dual lng and oil ships but as lng got more expensive the demand to use lng dropped as bunker oil has literally no other market (and the nice profit on this otherwuse useless fuel) than this ultra high quality fuel

    The solution is nuclear marine propulsion

      I agree. Everyone always brings up the initial costs, but how much money do these shipping companies make? I'd wager they can afford the startups.

    Bio fuel is not greener at all! It costs a lot of energy to refine it!

    What the fak is GREEN METHANOL???
    what is the waste when u burn GREEN METHANOL???

    • @cruisinguy6024
      @cruisinguy6024 7 месяцев назад

      Green methanol refers to methanol production with low greenhouse emissions. Burning methanol has significantly less SOx and NOx emissions than dino juices. Compared to heaven fuel oil that ships burn when out at sea is practically harmless for emissions

      Does the concept of a monopoly not exist to you? There are many uncompetitive markets for many reasons. Sometimes one or a few groups control the majority, sometimes there is stagnation in their industries, and other reasons too that I'm sure you can find with a simple search.
