I found this a couple of months ago on here and never properly thanked you for uploading it. This movie is kind of legend in my house. My grandpa actually was in it, just cast as an extra in certain scenes. But for years he always talked about his experience meeting John Ritter and how incredibly nice he was. My grandpa passed away yesterday. Thank you for giving our family this small link to his past. 💜
I have been searching for this movie for years! I LOVE Andy Griffith and I saw this once when I was a teen and have always wanted to see it again. Thank you for posting it! You are awesome!!!
Second or third time I've seen this. Great movie!! Andy Griffith is so good in this part, and he is loving every minute of playing the pycho grandpa. Fun movie if you love psychological thrillers. Their my favorite.
24:17 When your indoor cat gets out. This movie randomly sprung up in my mind and I RUclipsd it. I remember watching the the ending on NBC when I was Matthew's age lol.
OMG! Thank you so much for the upload to this. This movie is almost impossible to find! I had the DVD years ago, it got lost during a house flood with other things like albums, VHSs. This was a great movie! Andy Really stepped outside of the box with this one.
lol the crazy thing..i just watched a movie on here called "Under The Influence" in which Andy Griffith was a alcoholic..now here he says "I quit drinkin' a long time ago"..Lol im at the beginning of this...i'ma finish watching
When watching Andy Griffith in Mayberry i forget hes acting because it just seems so natural. With this movie i knew he was acting . I have a deep admiration and respect for both Andy Griffith and John Ritter. Great movie and story.
Andy plays a bad guy very believably. Watch him in "A Face in the Crowd", "Under the Influence" (with Keanu Reeves), and "Pray for the Wildcats" (with William Shatner [Star Trek] & Robert Reed [Brady Bunch]). All three will make your skin crawl, if you don't like seeing Andy behave badly.
I've got this image of Andy Creeping around Mayberry now, middle of the night, sneaking in Betty Lou's house, stealing her draws, planting things to start fights between her n Barney. Stealing cows, going in the bank vault through the back door, it's Never going to be the same watching Andy Griffith again. Lol.

I almost bailed early, I couldn’t watch Matlock as a bad guy. I checked the comments and everyone said what an awesome movie it was so good I thought I should give it a chance. He can show pure evil with a glance. I couldn’t have imagined it.
I saw this film many years ago and I'm was surprised to see Andy Griffith as a villain he was really good. I also enjoyed John Ritter being a fan of the TV show Three's Company. R.I.P. to both of these talented men

Hard movie thinking of Andy Griffith in this light. I just put aside old thoughts of him as an actor and put him as a new person. Once I got past that, it was a good movie. Our minds along with how time can change our memories does strange things. Sometimes for the better and sometimes otherwise. We don't really know all the problems he had when his family was first together. Knowing his mindset back then would have made the movie more interesting to me but overall I liked it. Thanks.
It is pretty weird to see Sheriff Taylor and Jack Tripper in these roles. I hadn't seen this movie since it was on television when I was little. I forgot how awesomely disturbing it is.
I never thought I would want to see an Andy Griffith character die... but alas.... I also had to Google and see if he played the bad guy in any other movies and he did.... several times actually....
His very first big role..."A Face in the Crowd" he morphed into a monster in that one. Surprised he was not typecast from that moment on! On the other hand, "No Time for Sergeants" was a gut buster comedy and was absolutely great for giggles!!
I love this movie but had to keep telling myself that it was impossible for Andy Griffith to be a bad guy. What a really great Actor. May he continue to R.I.P
I had no idea these 2 did a movie together 😲 Also, I find it funny they both worked with Don Knotts.😅🤣 lol. I know they were both good friends with him.
I had the privilege of seeing Andy Griffith and Linda Purl film an episode of Matlock at my college, the University of La Verne, in La Verne, California, back in the late 80's. The episode was titled "The Professor." The dean provided his office for Andy to use for the week they were there filming, and I watched Linda Purl film a couple of scenes for the episode.
My friend went to La Verne. I've never met anyone else who went there. Most people in Northern California haven't even heard of it. He loved going to school there. Except for the fact that, after he got accepted, everyone asked him if he was only going there because he couldn't get it to UC Shirley.
Well now. I didn’t see that coming. But once he revealed himself, I had his number. I don’t much like Andy Griffith playing a psycho, but damn is he good at it.
