I watched the movie like thousand times and I didn't use to even like Norrington but now I feel sorry for him like he's the most underrated character in PotC
There was something so very human to the core about Norrington. Ambition is a human trait that requires sacrifices and has consequences. Norrington made his sacrifices to claw his way back and lived through his consequences. He made his decisions, regretted them and did something about it.
Norrington has always been my favorite and honestly his death killed me :( his character was loyal and good at fighting. He truly cared for Elizabeth and died for her- he did not deserve that 😩
In my eyes it was absolutely not needed that he had to die! I love Norrington so much he is the most underrated character ever. I love this edit thank you for sharing xx
You may have made this 'a decade late' but I made my first Pirates of the Caribbean AMV 7 months ago and I haven't stopped making them since. Fandoms may slow down but they never die. This is a beautiful video and the fact that it's for my favorite character makes it even better. The timing and editing in this are top-notch and the song choice is perfect for James. You did such a great job of showing how he changes over the course of the movies. I absolutely love it!

I still don't understand why people hate this man. I mean he was an absolutely gentleman well at least before became a pirate. And he died saving Elizabeth's life. He died protecting his love even though he knew damn well she's in love with another
I didn’t know anybody hated him. He’s always been one of my favorites. Though I don’t hate Elizabeth either, you can’t help who you have or don’t have feelings for. That’s one of the reasons I always liked Norrington, even though he cares for Elizabeth the second he realizes she’s not interested in him the same way he lets her go immediately. With his position in movie one he could have easily forced the marriage to happen if he wanted to, but he didn’t. And when he sees her again even though she’s thrown her lot in with the pirates he’s still kind to her.
Hoping someday that you'll find your way back to your JN fanfic, At World's Beginning. It's one of the best in any fandom, and I usually dislike OC stories!
The scene with him and the Governor in front of the chest and he pulls out his pistol? It is a deleted scene. Jones goes into detail about the curse of his heart and it's a really good scene, wish they had kept it in ruclips.net/video/IQeCuX79BPM/видео.html

I had to double check if the characer was played by the same actor. He did change the look quite a lot - especially from the 1st to the 2nd movie.
