  • 2023 has been the year of the major sequel. Some franchises getting 6th entries or 16 entries or even higher. Lets take a game room tour of the major releases of 2023 and see what disappointed and delighted. We also break down my game of the year for 2023. Major games were taken off the backlog but here we are dealing with the front log of games that came out this year.

Oh man it's always so refreshing to see a video popup from someone who doesn't hate video games

My personal favorite game of 2023 is very much Armored Core VI as it's very much a love letter to the mecha genre from here to Gundam baby.

Great video, Luke. You brought my attention to a few old school style RPGs I hadn't thought about playing. Pretty stoked, especially for Sea of Stars.

Ike is my favorite main character in any RPG forever

Only ones on this list I've played are the Metroid Prime remaster, Mario RPG, and Tears of the Kingdom. Maybe when console prices go down I can play some of these lol. Excellent vid my man!

Very entertaining video brother, this was great. I still need to play full quiet and octopath 2 plus a billion others in the backlog. I just started second story r and it’s great so far. As far as game of the year for me it’s probably baldurs gate 3, I played the divinity games and loved them but this one has made the quests a tad less cryptic which I think is a good thing. Zelda was great and the building mechanic is innovative but it’s definitely a double edged sword for the game.

I understand a few of your issues with Spider-Man 2, but just to be clear on a couple of things: the Tombstone stuff is from a a few sidequests in Spider-Man (2018) and the Miles Morales game helps make the time jump feel less awkward. A lot of your other points are things that are addressed directly from the comics, but I get if you aren't an avid reader there, it may seem like a weak point. There's a weird balance in these games of doing their own thing and keeping it closer to the comics, which I think is incredibly hard to manage, especially trying to make sure everything is happy. Also, Peter Parker has tried to quit being Spider-Man since the '70s, I'm glad he finally achieved his goal.

I’m not a Harry Potter fan but maybe since wands are have there own magical mind so maybe using wands have benefits until you mistreat them?I don’t know ,but again not a fan either
