Theory: Future Scott is the one who’s building and sending the chaos bots. All throughout the series, Scott goes through a lot of trouble to help Hailey complete her list. He has to make sacrifices, misses opportunities, like here with Kristine as an example. And in the future, he’s left with nothing while Hailey becomes the world-saving scientist. And so he blames Hailey for how poorly his life turns out and becomes determined to ruin her life and destroy everything she’s worked for.
Not to mention that Scott on the list could end up sending mixed messages that spread the confusion even further. Scott, AC, Kristine, and Becker are possible future bad guy of the show in my theory.
Although it sounds to me like the theory of He was always the bad guy 😅... it makes sense and in fact it poses a good villain that we would never see coming Honestly. I don't believe in this theory, at least under that premise, because in an episode that shows you how Scott puts a stop to Hailey when he gives much more priority to his list than to Scott's personal interests and goals to the point of abandoning her for telling him that his list is more important than his passion.
This has got me worried. If Scott finds out about list item 143; what if he blames Hailey for breaking up him and Kristine and his future self sent the chaos bots? Unfortunately Scott is now a suspect as well.
Oh my gosh, the end of this episode also made me guess that Scott could grow up to be Hailey's enemy from the future! Hailey has Beta to tell her what list items she needs to do, so maybe future Scott is the secret villain who sends the Chaos-bots back in time to stop Hailey from completing that list. He would be very upset that he got to do many of the things with Hailey on her list of things to do, but then she got too successful to continue being his girlfriend after being San Diego County's Young Person of the Year.
My theory is he blames her for the loss of his relationship. And he wants to make her suffer as payback. I’m a queer asexual, and I had a crush on another heterosexual boy called Josh. He had a girlfriend, so I could never tell him that I loved him. I never met her, but hate her guts because she was probably sleeping with the man I loved. The man I am still very much in love with. My point is, I understand how it feels to lose the person you love, in one way or another, due to someone else’s interference. So yeah, I think he could very well be behind it all. In one way or another.
This is like my theory. I don’t think Scott would become evil and turn on Hailey over just one failed relationship. It would have to be several missed opportunities that he misses out on because he’s too busy helping Hailey, this relationship with Kristine just being just the first of many.

I've never been shocked by this so far... We finally get to KNOW a little more on the Chaos Bots and WOW I did NOT see the breakup with Kristine coming on. Then again, She was giving Scott these looks behind her back- yeah that was the feeling of someone feelin' jealous and not having their love interest spend time with em. So THAT happened. I have some complicated emotions about this. (Oh- I feel like the Professor's gonna GIVE Hailey those lottery numbers by the end of the first season-- but this just a theory. I do not think Hailey will become her own worst enemy in the future, but it could be someone else. Someone Hailey would never suspect. The fact that there is a Beta robot and an Omega robot in the future tipped me off that there must also be an Alpha robot, which is why the Professor gave Beta and later Omega to Hailey to counteract what Alpha is doing. Alpha is probably also working for Hailey's enemy in the future to make the evil Chaos-bots that are sent to the past to kill Hailey Banks. The answer will surprise you. Are you ready? I think the series finale will reveal that Scott Denoga becomes Hailey's enemy in the future. See? I warned you that you would be surprised! Why would Scott do that? Well, it is because even though he was happy to do all of those things with Hailey in her book's to-do list, and she gave him thanks for helping her become San Diego's Young Person of the Year, Scott never had any of the smarts or success that Hailey has to do what she did after then to make a decarbonization device. Hailey is celebrated for solving climate change and achieving other great things, but she no longer keeps in touch with Scott anymore. They kissed at some point, but they never stayed together. If they die together, she will never be successful enough to leave him.😱
