I don't believe it. In my opinion The professor is a fan/employee/successor of Hailey in the future. The professor's attitude is one of the things that will catch Hailey's attention one day.

This was quite literally my first impression of this show and the 2nd most striking thing that came to my head was "Wait, _that's_ how Stonehenge was made?!" The first thing being "Damn, that mad scientist lady is cute."
I bet is future AC, the one intelligent(academically), competitive and selfish enough to stop Hailey from saving the world so he could win against her, some of those list items mean beating him in a competition

It's been like that for the frame by frame animated shows post 2020 due to rising popularity of using anime animation techniques being used in American animation. Like the sakuga technique where 90% of the animation of a show looks like a stiff, cheap Hanna Barbera cartoon and the remaining 10% looking like a fluid, expressive Bob Clampett Looney Tunes cartoon.
And don’t forget the cringe humor.. I getting so tired of that “ looking at me I so quirky“ it’s as annoying as “ totally rad dudes “ plus I gonna admit that.. that hairstyle is too much I don’t hate it in small amounts but just like the mullet.. it’s got so frustrated to look at if everyone has it.. or something like that…!
The logic in time travel, timelines, and the multiverse, is way more complicated than what she's been explaining about, in fact, she got some of it wrong too.
