Just ordered yesterday! Cant wait to upgrade!
I have that router an that thing is a beast
Where did you buy this model?
what if the pppoe connection requires a vlan id?
Great review. Can i put my Cable modem into The 10gb port instead of the 2.5gb.. Then use rest for the internet.
yes you can use either a 2.5 or 10gb port (it has two options for wan connection)
How does it compare to ASUS AXE16000 is worth the upgrade GT-BE98 ?
It is currently not worth the upgrade unless you are lucky and have lots of WiFi 7 devices to take advantage of the extra bandwidth. ASUS AXE16000 is best overall router
hello please talk more about the guest network pro 🤝
I'm interested in the internal ookla speedtest on the router itself. I have the AX11000 Pro with a 10Gbps fibre plan but the internal speedtest on the router only gets around 3Gbps. Read that it is due to the processor performance that cannot handle the full 10Gbps speed, wondering if the better processor in the BE98 can do a better job...
Mine is coming tomorrow
Yo bro If I planned getting gt axe 16000 should I switch up and get this router?
Hi any chance of showing how to configure if you have 10gbe PC and 10Gbe Nas. Cheers ❤
Sure, will add to my list of videos. Thanks for the idea.
I have a question, I have The Asus Ax11000 is it worth upgrading to the AXE 16000?
I can’t make up my mind between Rapture GT6 and Netduma R3
The ASUS Rapture GT6 and Netduma R3 are both high-performance routers aimed at gamers. I like the DumaOS interface definitely has potential and would like to test.
In my personal opinion it depends on what you want:
1) If you want the absolute fastest Wi-Fi and raw power: ASUS Rapture GT6 is a better fit for Mesh environments.
2) If you want granular control over gaming traffic, and ease of use is important: The Netduma R3's DumaOS is likely the ideal choice.
3) If you want a powerful all-rounder for gaming and general network needs: The ASUS Rapture GT6 offers more flexibility and room to grow.
Thank you! Here's my planned upgrade, and I'd really love to hear your thoughts,
Router: Upgrading from the Mercusys MR70X 1800 to the ASUS Rapture GT6 AX10000 (1 Pack) for:
- Wi-Fi 6 coverage
- Gaming features
- Improved security
- Simplified port forwarding setup
- Capacity for handling multiple devices on the same network
Modem: Switching from the ISP provided Huawei HG633 to the DrayTek Vigor 167, set in bridge mode, for my VDSL2 connection.
Access Point: Considering adding a Netduma R3 for its software advantages and control options. Also take it with me as I’m working abroad.
Dont have Qos?
Yes, under Gaming Acceleration Menu there is the Enable QoS feature.
These should be 400 and under
I got mine a month ago lmao
I hate that they named Wi-Fi 7 as "BE", because "AX" sounds more powerful, BE is a boring name
