Back in 2013 when I first came to Pune and witnessed it and 10 years back now in 2023, it remains my "Number one place to spend evening in Pune" ...could believe it exists right in the heart of the city. Love it each time I go here. It kinda reminds me scenes from Jurassic Park movie. Have gone even in very early morning hours like 3 AM, to plant an almond sapling we received from company and tobe there to witness complete sun rise but the sunset here is THE highlight...love it, specially during monsoon months, on a clear evening...amazing colour spread out like some acclaimed artist's canvas painting.
Absolutely Vivek! Same for me also - since I moved to Pune in 2013, I've loved the space. I used to live right next to it earlier and hiked there very often. Thankfully it has remained mostly unchanged, but it seems new development projects are coming up soon there...
Your story telling way is really nice... Background music feels lil sad and low! I was looking for some places to hike on weekends so thank you for this video. It helped.
Contrary to dense forest scaring one, this place is very-very serene. You will find positive energy in this jungle spread tekdi all day and night round. Have been here at odd hours too but never felt scared even at its remote areas. Definitely has some divine entity living here, so it must be protected by PMC and govt. at all costs.
That sounds like a lot of responsibility! I will try and explore the city as much as I can...with Covid still around, it's much harder to travel though...
@@SamarjeetGhorpade I completely understand that - all places of worship are closed due to covid restrictions. I guess it's still a nice place to go to...
Anyway we need to save these hills from land mafias and slum promoters. Make subways, flyovers, addl forestation and secured boundries. Also bird and animal sanctuary should be made with proper tourists facilities.
This is really sad! 😢 We’ll need to do more than posting a video. My friend was part of a long protest to prevent tree cutting to build a flyover and the protesters won after a long time with marches, meetings with all stakeholders and much much more.
Yes. This has been going on since 40 years now. Vetal Tekdi being a prime location from commercial activity perspective, PMC and builder lobby have been eying it since long time. On Saturday , 15th April 2023, protest walk from Vetal Tekdi Baba Chowk, senapati bapat road is organized at 5.30 PM. Do pass on the message to others you know who care about vetal tekdi. Thanks.
@@SiddharthaJoshiFilms Recommendations- Dighi hill for stunning sunrise/sunset Also you can visit Alandi devachi for some portraits , it's near to dighi hills Both places slightly outside from your city, but beautiful for captures
What false are u telling to all, no serial shooting of vikramvetal took place here, there is a mandir of sadhupurush vetalbaba, don't misguide people.Learn properly and then make videos.
Felt Nostalgic. Me and my friends used to visit ARAI so often that our college friends used to call us ARAI Boys 😅. Kya din the ❤️
Those must’ve been good days ☺️☺️

Glad you liked the video. I guess the music represented my state of mind back then…great place to go on weekdays also it’s less crowded there
This place is a treasure in Pune
I completely agree with you :)
I love your way of telling the story...so calm and peaceful
Thank you so much!
What a wonderful place right in the middle of the city
Indeed it is! Pune is blessed :)

I use FCP for editing and use Sony ZV1 and iPhone for vlogging.

PMC is planning to cut the Vetal Tekdi for a road. Would appreciate if you can post a video protesting the same. On Twitter and RUclips

Not becoz of show of vikaram vittal tekada
It was a joke - I mentioned in the vlog itself :)
इधर कोई रहता नहीं ?
It’s not allowed to live on the tekdi - it’s a public space for everyone to come and visit. ARAI has a center on top though…

Slowly these hills will be captured by slum people all around.
And/ or the builders - it’s really sad to see the loss of Pune’s lungs 😢
