Maybe I just didn’t get a closer look, but I’m surprised the guards don’t wrap around the front and rear sides of the A-arm to protect the CV boots more from sticks poking in and tearing them.
Yeah, would be nice if they protected the boots more, so far, so good, no issues and I've been in some wild stuff with this thing. Thanks for watching!
Nice vid. How much did you tighten them? I noticed the front 2 longer bolts just keep going. It’s actually bending the guard up toward the cross brace on the a arm.
Thanks for watching. I made sure that it was tight, but not too wildly tight, if that makes and sense, like, you can tell that the bolt is bottomed into the plastic, but not pulling so much as to warp things. I also had to chase every bolt hole, I feel like there was paint and junk in the threads. Thank you again for watching!
How have those a-arm guards held up? Looking at the poly ones or aluminum but leaning more towards poly for the simple reason they would slide better over rocks and what not
@@brianpereira5498 Wow, thank you so much for the kind words. I'll be trying to get out more videos now that Spring is almost here, this cold weather makes it hard to get motivated, lol!
Thank you for your videos! Finally receiving mine in June. Curious about why you opted with these a-arm guards vs the aluminum ones offered by Yamaha? Thanks again for your videos!
Hey thanks for watching! You're going to love your new RMAX!!! I went with these because I liked that they were black and would slide nice over rocks and whatnot. I do like aluminum, but I feel like this stuff is just as durable if not more. Fit and finish is really good too and I like to support the small companies. Hope that helps! Thank you!
When you snug them down, they bite into the plastic quite a bit. I've had over 500 HARD miles on them, and I checked the fasteners on my last ride... Still good and tight! Great product! Thanks for watching!
Thanks for watching, you can still get to the grease fittings, I added angled ones in the rear on mine. I have a video about that too. Good product, I'll report back for sure once they get start seeing some action.
@@BarnStangz I watched that video on changing grease fittings. I still have to change mine only have about 2 hours on mine. Had to drive 600 miles to find my Rmax 2 1000xtr
@@ronrosenerger3216 Thanks for watching! Yeah man, these machines are super hard to come by! But they are worth it! Super fun machine, even my old lady likes to rip the thing! Hope you're enjoying it!

Hi, like the video on the AR guards. How have they held up& would you buy them again?
Thanks for watching! The guards are still holding up great and I'd most certainly purchase them again!

They have been holding up VERY well and I'd buy them again in a heart beat! Thanks for the question and thanks for watching!

No lock tight?

Do these hinder getting to the grease fittings? They look nice, let us know how they hold up.

Is this kit for all 4 sides?
@@snobiwonkenobi Yes sir, front and back, very nice kit! Was glad that I had them during my HMT trip!
nice vid...how many mm do you lose on overall height clearance
Not much since they are only about 1/2" or 13mm. Thanks for watching!
the title is misleading. You installed the A-arm guards not the true skid plate.
Sorry you thought the title was misleading, that was not my intention. Thanks for watching, if you did.
