Standard
It's already cased and my back hurts so I'll add the year later on 😂
This one is set to drop C# and just off the bat wowser. The finish really let's everything ring true and if this beast was in standard it would be 👌 not that the current tuning is bad, I just know guitars.
Anyway apart from all the goodness like cts pots, switchcraft switch Gibson pick ups and the same nut that Gibson uses, the tuners on this one are not as good as the ones on the Gold top and it's having a little trouble with tuning.
I once again swapped the 18p for a 17p as the 18s just aren't doing it and sound plonky.
The action is set to medium low once again and yeah she's good to go, I couldn't test this at earth shaking volumes likes I like to do due to my daughter having a nap, but she's good
If Stu decides this one is worth the extra money I'll order in some new tuners (gotoh)
But for now he can enjoy his new beast
I also polished up the frets as they were a bit scratchy. I really like the neck on this one.
Just a shame about those tuners.
I've got two more left to do but I think I've done enough for today and will return later to look at a sexy bass
Cheers legends!
They are great guitars for the money
I'm impressed, epiphone have come along way, I used to own 3 about 12 years ago. Tho good, not as good as these are, but back then I didn't have the skills I have now! I would like to think if I still had them, they would be pimped
scratchiness is good break it in for you
.its a great way to play it in feels better every day awesome..its a personal touch its now your instrument...I love mine 6 months its broke in and I love it! ❤️ don't f... with it break it in with your HANDS...
Hey dude, rough frets are not a good thing 😂 it reduces your fret life causes damage and can flatten your tops. I don't own this, I'm a guitar tech and my job was to fix it.
If you like rough frets more power to you, but definitely not something that I can let slide
@@frontmanguitars8276 thank you I didn't know im not a tech but mine had some pretty rough frets at 1st like sand paper.. but the past year of playing it feels great .. maybe just my perception thank you for your help.. but it's smooth as silk now.. and intonation is spot on...but thank you
@@thomasvannatter6361 I've got a video on how I polish frets if you wanted to see the process 💪 keep rocking
@@frontmanguitars8276 thank you I'll check it out
@@frontmanguitars8276 thank you I looked at your content on polishing fret wire the fret itself is not the problem it's the wood grain.. please explain in more detail..maybe I missed something...
I have the exact same guitar an looking for the same work/checks. By any chance you live in Melbourne Victoria?
I do infact, I'm based in the western suburbs 3021! You can contact me via my Facebook page :)
@@frontmanguitars8276 Thanks!
Reverb much???
I like my reverb 😉 what more can I say
The satin top looks awful to me. Shame they went that way
Looks way better in person and really not too satiny.
I thought so too until i got it. Brighter the light the better it looked. Sunshine really sets it off!
