I think it more highlights just how lonely she was. She had been on that island since the Titan war, cast there just because her father is Atlas. It's not right that she held him there but I wouldn't say she's to blame either

Calypso is one of my favorite characters in mythology She's a bad person There's literally no way you can defend her unless you genuinely believe loneliness is a valid defense for keeping someone captive And at the same time, you can completely understand her You can even feel for her, i know i do, but feeling for someone's situation is not the same as empathizing with them, and i have very little empathy for her Your art portays her very well in that regard She clearly does love Ody, or at least the version of him she has in her head, but she also makes her 'apology' very passive aggressive almost like she's blaming him for washing up on her Island To a certain degree it is a genuine apology, but not one without it's flaws and hangups to make him feel bad Yes, she is 100% a victim and that dose deserve understanding, but being a victim doesn't excuse turning into an abuser
Honestly she's not even keeping him captive on the island. She's a prisoner there just as much as he is. Her case is basically like being given an inmate hence "No one can come or go, my island stays unknown" line in the earlier song "Love in Paradise" but the rest of your points I agree with.

From what I understand, fan animations/animatics don’t get copyrighted because those kinds of videos fall under fair use or they’re considered transformative works because you’re adding your own creativity to the music. It becomes a problem when you try to monetize it I think. So I just buy the song on iTunes

I'm sorry for asking such a personal question here, but does anyone here has or knows divorced parents ? I want to get the feelings and actions of teens in such situations as accurate as possible in a story of mine.
This is awesome don’t get me wrong, but if I had to make one critique it would be that the time it was made in shows, and is it great for the time it took yes, but being first isn’t always being best so maybe taking some more time on it would help
@@Chilldude27 that’s good advice all around and I appreciate that, however, this animatic did take me about a month and a half to make😅 I didn’t make it in a day. Still has its flaws I know, but I’ll probably get better with more practice.
