My veteran friend is 10% service connected for herni10 and now has kidney disease and gets SSDI because of it. So trying to see if research links or associates the 2 together or is it possible or likely that his service connected hernia is related to his kidney disease.

Hi Eric. Your coworkers, friends, or family can write their affirmation of an issue and say they are witness to that issue. The SITREP put a video out on it: ruclips.net/video/aGnITbTMMNw/видео.html
Thats usually a 10% claim but yes it can be done as long as you have the docmentation. Remember if you get better or is not a Continuous issue to you it may get droped down because its not progression.
So, if a service member had cancer, had a testicle removed, and is now (and has been for years) cancer free, are they entitled to disability? If not for the cancer, but for the loss of a body part?
Thats fine just go back to your primary ask them.why it is not in your file and have them document it sometimes they dont do that. I went through same thing. Or if they dont do it go to ooutsource DR and have them do it for you but you need to be seen for medical diagnosis again so its documented then bring that to VA rep and VA office and VBA file evidence. Va and vba are two different things.

They held your money so add 60 months × ,$2,500.00,equals..$Lots more., first check only..then you get $2 500 per month.after that $2,500.00.until.you pass away each month

I am a veteran and I have gone to VFW representatives at my state Department of Veterans Affairs office. Each state should have such a office. Please call either a VFW office or the nearest American Legion office. They can help with changing the misspelled names and with any other veteran needs such as proper VA forms to fill out.
Id check social security also cause my name got changed 5 times in service lol. Now i just kept it cause to much of a hassle but i will change it in future.
I would ask someone with knowledge of service-connected and secondary conditions at the VA or the Veteran Service Organizations. I suppose if it were eczema, psoriasis, an allergic reaction, etc.; and it was documented in your medical record, or if it were secondary to exposure to agent orange or some other chemicals used during your time in service. From what I have researched, one has to make an effort to mitigate any damage, so if shaving aggravates the condition, they may deny it. It has to be stated to meet the criteria within 38 CFR 4.118 (skin) or another listing.
