Really nice. Do you have a link to share for the lighter insert you used?

Thanks! The lighter insert is made by Vector, model “TB INSERT 3T-03”. I found this by zooming in on some Elie Bleu table lighters while looking for inspiration!

7:10 what bit size did you use for the hole ?

I believe it’s either a Fisch or a Freud forstner bit. I usually try to get the “wave” type, I find they work very well. I’m not positive what size it was - looks in the 1.25” range.

Beautiful, it came out nice. Where did you get the lighter? I’d like to make a humidor and lighter for my brother.

great build! I have to make me one of these. Where do you order your wood from?

Thanks! The wood here was from Bell Forest Products, but if you are far away I’d first look for whatever exotic lumber distributor is closest to you.

You (and a lot of other people) love to use super glue and tape. Why?
    Just use cheap double-stick tape.
It is easy to use and easy to remove.

I can’t speak for anybody else, but personally I use it a lot for making jigs and sleds and it’s close at hand.
I’ve also had double-stick tape be too sticky (tears the wood fibers) or not sticky enough (template becomes projectile) depending on the brand, but never had an issue with the old CA glue / blue tape method.
Just don’t forget the blue tape :D

I agree with what you said - but you also showed ripping apart that panel - which is way to strong a hold.
That was the reason for the double-tape.
Also - it depends on the amount of hold that is needed. Really cheap stuff for a simple hold and good stuff for a stronger hold and the really good stuff for it isn't coming apart hold.
Again, it is cost vs damage done.
      Appreciate the reply.

Yeah forgetting the blue tape on that melamine was a rookie mistake. I still can’t believe I did that - chalk it up to being more focused on filming than actually working on the project!
