Great video, very good and meaningful, thank you for sharing
Thanks, I appreciate it 👍
What a breath of fresh air over most of the other "woodworking" channels that are little more than schills for the companies with the latest&greatest geegaws. I love making my own. This is a great idea. Immediately subbed. Thanks.
Thanks so much, I really appreciate that! 🫶
Hello my friend 🤝Thank you so much 😊 Happy new year 🎅
That is very slick. Totally impressed.
Hi 👋 Thank you 🫶
Very good job brother!!!

useful for setting your fence as well.
Absolutely!🫶
Bravo.
Un grand merci !🫶🎅
“Featherboard” over-engineered.
🫶
Ma che stupidaggine
This is not like a feather board, you can use it to repeat thin cuts by moving the fence closer at each cut.
But it doubles as a feather board, BUT it does not help against kickback.
Cách làm rất hay ❤
Hello 👋 Thank you bro

Golly - a clamp magically turned into a feather board. Can’t wait to see you turn a feather board into a clamp.

Guter Tipp!🤝
Idea buena. Pero buscaría un sargento de mejor calidad. 😜

great idea ...think adding a spring on the rod would help with the tension without locking it?
Yes friend! Thanks 😊
Wondered what that was all about but the end reveal showed a really clever device.
Thank you 👍
I love it! I would comment on what it is or alternatives... but I don't want to spoilerize the surprise. Very well done on the work, and very well done on the video presentation. NIce minimal use of hardware as well!!!
Thank you so much!😊👍

Ottimo suggerimento. Ottima idea ❤
Hello 👋 Thank you my friend 🫶
😊Thanks 🫶
It's very clever, but so much work when a feather board would work just as well.
Thank you for the feedback! 👍
Yeah, why make something with your own hands when you can go out and pay some corporation to make a much cheaper, less impressive version?
Who's bothering you, go pay
A friend of mine would still have the tip of his thumb if he had had this years ago! Awesome idea BTW !

"Твори, выдумывай, пробуй!"
Есть такое высказывание в русском языке. Можно принять как девиз.
Появилась идея. Обдумал. Реализовал.
Сделал качественно. Это важно.
Найдёт ли это приспособление место у мастеров? Никто не знает. Время покажет.
Придумать что-то - дорогого стоит.
Здравствуйте, лучше не скажешь 👍Благодарю 😊
And what happens if the board is not straight and increases in width? You losen the jig while sawing? Way too dangerous and I stay with my featherboard or simply two pushsticks
Ok bro, thanks 👍
Great video I like wood working tips 👌🏻 ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

So nice of you😊
Thank you for this, brilliant idea. Would it be possible to make this using 19mm plywood laminate together to create the desired thickness.

Avec plaisir 😊
Super idea! 👍💪✌
Hi, thank you my friend 🎅
Good job 😊🎉
Thanks 😁
Very clever.
Hello 👋 Thank you
@@MA-SH Yes, Sir, you bet!
Could be used as a thin rip jig too. Registering the thickness against the rollers and moving the fence with stock against it each cut
Yes, I think you are right! 😎
brilliant
Thanks 🫶
When you drill the hole, if you used a step bit, you would get a cone shaped hole that might amplify even more.
That's a great point! 👍
I likes it
Thank you 👍
A featherboard is quicker to build, allows for more consistent pressure and slight variations in the board width, and prevents kickback.
Ok, thanks! Happy new year 🎅
An over-engineered re-imagining of a simple featherboard. Too much time and work invested for the result. Obviously just something built to post a build video, not to be a real, useful item.
Ok, thanks
Perfekt!!!
Thank you sir 🤝
Muy chévere
Thank you 👍
Hi MA-SH
Do not bother about the comments made over the silliness of your "featherboard". I am sure that most of the commentators are not inventive enough to see the New Idea behind your tool. Not always the same over and over again.
One who works a lot with strips will appreciate the high flexibility without changing anything, no screw, no fastener... while changing the workpiece.
Take it from someone with 45 years shop experience. 👍👍
Ok, I'm glad it makes sense to someone!Thank you 🤝
Clever.
Thank you 😊
Cute idea but not as safe as a feather board as it will not prevent kickback which is the main reason for such a device
Ok friend 👍Thanks 🤝
@@MA-SH Actually if you replace the roller bearings with a feather board , you might have something that's both useful and safe! Nice work all the same
I suggest you look at what you like, I've done it before! I like to invent, maybe then I'll do something in between)) ruclips.net/video/CdgY7j2eICo/видео.htmlsi=G7a1VUuEHG2zRKmX
Feel like you want to lock it in place so it dont skid into the blade.
Ok
I find the quick grip clamp that is used tend to slip
👍
Off the shelf feather board from Rockler or Woodcraft??
Thank you 👍
Good idea friend, thank you 🤝
That’s why they make feather boards
👍👈
"Расческа" удобнее, практичнее, безопаснее, более правильнее
Ришат с наступающим новым годом 🎄 такую я уже делал 👍
Das baue ich nach👍
Hello 👋 Thank you 🎅
This tool only works if the piece you're cutting has parallel edges. Often, you run a piece through the saw to GET those parallel sides. If those sides are not perfectly parallel, it will either bind up, or lose it's pressure. Then, what??
This is a prototype, if I come across it, I will finalize it.
Nothing is securing it in the miter, making it prone to slide towoards the blade and potentially cause kickbac if pressure is added towards the blade.
Ok, thanks boss 👍
👍👍👍👍👍
🫶😊
The fact that you can only just squeeze the clamp with two fingers is a major drawback to the design. Needs some improvement IMHO
Apparently you don't know the quick-release clamp device! I pressed the button, only after that it can be compressed!!
😊
Astucieux!
Thank you my friend 🫶
I'm trying to figure this out but maybe someone can enlighten me. Does this offer any protection against kickbacks?
Hello 👋 Yes friend 👍
@@MA-SH Do the bearings run in only one direction?
@@AyoolaBoyejo Now I understand you, they rotate in both directions.
@@MA-SH Thanks for the clarification. It will be interesting to use a one-way bearing for this so that objects can't be thrown back at the operator in the event of a kickback.
Yes, that would be great.
You build up WALL-E?
Yes friend 🤖
I don’t understand why he place the pusher’s stick close to the fence that’s why when the piece at the end go to the left should be in the center and pushed to the the right to the fence like that you keep you piece in place
Ok, thanks bro 👍
Lots of work for a $2 plastic clamp that is going to break
👍
For full functionality, there is no flexible mounting.

I don't do wood work or carpentry and I see the logic of safety to this, maybe you don't believe in safety.

A feather board has the advantage of being one way avoiding kickbacks
Thank you 🫶
Then you haven't understood the use of a featherboard.
@ roller bearings guides can guide both ways. A properly set featherboard won’t let your stock back up. Your device is technically a roller guide. You can mount a feather board on your fence as a hold down which is very important when beveling. Mine are mostly just pine 1X.
@@peterbarlow8912 Ok, thanks bro 👍
