- One of my favorite Horner scores, did you know a lot of it was filmed in Ireland?
Strings = Pacific, Cinematic Studio Series Solos, Vista I
Harp = Performance Samples
Brass + Winds = Infinite Series (Aaron Venture)
Pipes = Celtic Era
Timp = Cineperc Soft Mallets
Now that mac deserves all the congrats for handling almost 70+ instances of kontakt. 💯👍🏻😲
Insane
The brass sounds so warm and natural
Excellent work Michael.
"One of my favorite Horner scores, did you know a lot of it was filmed in Ireland?", mine too it was also filmed in Scotland... Back then I had friends who participated in the film as extras during the battles scenes filmed in Scotland ;-) Best regards, MaxT
Beautiful Strings and horns❤
Sheesh.. great mock up. One of my favorite Horner as well!
Many thanks !
Beautiful.
The amazing recreation of this track, the use of samples at the level, is immediately visible. Good luck to you!)
*great sound*
It's sounding splendid! The climatic swell, the dynamics in the template was great. Bagpipes could be pushed back and more verb/space, certain notes definitely hit hard and upfront like the "E" 1:15-1:16ish you can hear it pierce. Not sure if you were focusing on mixing the bagpipes per the title of your video, but thought I mention it as it was sticking out. Cheers!
Instruments from Celtic Era are recorded very dry and very close mic'd so it's difficult to make them fit in the mix, especially with a lush library like Pacific Strings. Adding more reverb just makes them sound washed out rather than more distant for me.
@@williammonk1020Definitely hard to achieve this! What helped me a bit was this video here, along with some eq. Still not perfect but a lot closer without feeling so washed out. ruclips.net/video/l3Abis3IiI4/видео.html
Echo de menos que no hayas desarrollado la parte central del tema, de cómo se comportaría las cuerdas en el climax del tema. Seguramente CSS sonarían igual. Enhorabuena, suena prácticamente igual que el disco.
Gotta disagree, pushed back with more reverb woulda made it sound worse. Sounds fine to me, actually gives the piece a very cowboy filmscore esq feel to it, I like it :)
how do you feel about the Pacific Harp? I find it really hard to play but you seem to have it working well!
To be honest I find it very wonderful and full of life. It took me a minute to get used to the release samples but I now like that too.
Keltic flute or something begins to low a register let it sore above thee melodie.
I didn't write it
