  • These are some video clips that my Dad and I took of one of the weirdest and most beautiful storms I've ever seen (Thursday, May 21st, 2020) ; it seemed to hover over my family and I's house in Florida (Flagler) for like an hour. There are some slo-mo clips in there, mostly in the latter half of the video!

      @@Maximus01776I hate to be the "actually..." guy, but "as above, so below" is a concept found in almost every religion there's ever been, in some form or another, as well as in the secular understanding of the parallels and relationships between macro- and micro- systems. I find it fascinating how system structures are echoed between seemingly-disparate fields of study, like thermodynamic entropy and information theory (one of my personal favorite pairings). Even beyond that, though, "as above, so below" is a phrase lovingly spoken by all practicing Christians on a fairly regular basis, in the form of "on Earth, as it is in Heaven." All it means is that what happens in the physical world we inhabit and experience, the ebb and flow of life struggling desperately to cling to its existence in a hostile dead universe, is reflected somehow in a "grand design", God, a spiritual realm, etc, in much the same way as the cells forming your body in order to be You are similar to, say, a collection of human beings working together in order to be a community.

      @Maximus01776 4 года назад +16

      @@LostInTheFloatingWorld that actually is in part true, many old and new religions has a somehow similar association with that phrase, except Christianity, that phrase is linked to the hermetic text from the emerald tablets, Manly P Hall was a very huge believer and promoter of this thought, and not only him, so many other occultist have resonance in this concept, P Hall was a 33 degree mason and occultist author, many so called Christians have no idea about what they are talking about, they do believe in God, but very naive about the spiritual realm. New age doctrine have been pushing this for the last 40 or 50 years

      Lightning occurs due to charge separation between ice crystals and supercooled water droplets. Clouds aren't made from water vapour - that is invisible and in the air all around us.

    For me 2020 is the first time seeing lightening like this; and I have seen a lot of storms. We had this same lightening in Missouri last night (06/04), with strong winds/tornadic activity, and torrential rain.
    In May we had a night with this same lightening (with an even more intense flash rate), but with no rain, no wind, very little sound. It looked like a pyrotechnic laser light show inside the clouds. Weird stuff, for sure.

    High energy storms like this are more common in the Midwest, where the energy can produce more tornadoes. I saw a storm system from a distance like this once with a tornado below it, and the lightning flashes were even more constant than you see here. The sound is lowered down the sonic spectrum by distance, and may be too low to hear even though it is there.

      This term ''heat lightning'' is no such thing, what people be really seeing is a distance thunderstorm that's far away for the thunder to be heard although the lightning flashes can still be seen!
      Say for instance the storm is 40 miles away, and you have a friend, or relative that lives 40 miles away which is right next to the storm, and you call them on the phone and tell them you see lightning but don't hear thunder, then your friend or relative would tell you that they see lightning and hearing thunder, see what I mean? That proves there is no such thing as heat lightning!

      Ive been told this is also called an electrical storm where its lightning but no thunder. There's one going on now in miami but this one in this vid is way crazier.

      All lightning storms are fueled by heat (differences).

      RUclipsviewer i’m not an expert but I think that’s actually fairly common. It makes sense, really, if the conditions that caused the lightning to strike at one particular place (like, say, a very tall thin metal rod in a flat area) don’t change too much, the likelihood of it striking the same spot again must be pretty dang high!

      Earth does actually zap the cloud :)

    I've only seen something like this once, years ago, but not in such a solid looking cloud formation. In my particular situation you could see some minor gaps in the clouds that made the lightning look like it was jumping from cloud to cloud and it was just as fascinating to see. Thanks for posting.
