  • Island hopping in Sicily, Italy was one of the best experiences we have ever had. Nothing beats the Mediterraneans deep crystal clear blue water. We started the day by leaving Trapani Sicily for the island of Favignana. On Favignana we rented bikes and road to Cala Rossa. Cala Rossa (red cove) gets its name from the red clay on the shoreline. We also swam off the coast of Favignana. The next island we went to was Levanzo. Levanzo is the smallest of the three main Aegadian Islands in the Mediterranean Sea west of Sicily, Italy. The island has about 450 inhabitants, who are concentrated around a tiny port.
