You say this but you forget that when ronaldo and baggio played in serie a, it was the best defensive league in the world. Today, la liga defensively can't hold a candle to serie a in the nineties. So messi can score as many goals as he likes, if he played in serie a at that time, he wouldn't come close to his current scoring tally. Ronaldo and baggio still made the defenders look like clowns because their skill was so natural and deeply rooted.

Baggio is just leaps and bounds ahead of most strikers he's especially better than Thierry Henry who was a complete failure in the Serie A and only achieved CL status due to Barcelona's finest in Messi, Xavi, Iniesta and co.
