Please do more of these. This looks amazing, French onion soup is a family favorite. The chef was awesome. The camera work wasn't bad at all. With the implosion of bon appétit you could really make a divot in RUclips food videos.
@@tdew11 this video is ok if you want to learn how too. I learned from an old French Chef from CIA in the good old day’s who would find this method silly. Can’t explain it. Cheers
Yes - taste will be be different as the clarified butter adds a lot to the dish… but sub butter for any oil preference… make sure it has a moderate smoke point, and use veg stock… sub vegan bread (baguette) and vegan cheese on top
Also… it might be possible with a oil based butter spread. Still has butter flavor but is made out of oil… I’m not a 100% as I don’t use this item… but worth looking into

Is it possible to do this vegan? Just asking. I don't mix meat products with dairy.
