Arent they kind of flimsy though? Unless i am thinking of the wrong kind of plastic. I have thought about using shrink plastic as it cuts well with thin dies.
Just came across your channel, and realized you make cards like I do, very textured with layers galore. Beautiful , mixed media cards created… thank you! 🥰💜✨🎉 Yep you have a new subbie!😂
WOW, not only did you show how to use cover plate dies, you ADDED in so many other helpful, time-saving TIPS. Thanks so much! Your art is beautiful! 🌷🌷🌷
Such a great video. Many tips I will use in the future like creating my own stencils and using my reverse tweezers to hold die cuts together. Thanks Juliana, your cards turned out really well!
These cards are beautiful Juliana. Your stencil creation was genius, as well as using the paper you die cut out of as layer in your cards. A great tutorial/learning video and your creativity is very inspiring. Thank you so much for sharing.
Thank you Juliana for another informative video. Great tip re reusable stencil too. Great inspiration to urge me into being creative. Having a bit of a lull at present.
I'm not usually a fan of multi media cards etc but after seeing your cards here, i might have to buy a few sprays etc. Thanks for so many tips and ideas. Regards from UK 🇬🇧
Wow, love your versitile cards & color pallet. Can't wait to try background cover plate techniques with the only cover plate I have! I'm new to mixed media. The way you combine stamps, paper, texture & die cuts is so interesting! Thx.
Thank you Juliana for sharing these techniques. The cards are gorgeous and you have given me some inspiration craft today. I loved your technique for saving cut out plates to reuse it as stencils. 💕
Relatively new to your channel… I have been working with mixed media for a long time- but you shared quite a few great tips here! These are all great cards!
So many great tips, Juliana! I have trouble with floral and leave arrangements as well so I love the tip of holding the cluster together with reverse tweezers, gluing the bundle together first before attaching the bundle to the card. I have used die cuts as a stencil but the tip of using Collage Medium to turn them into re-usable stencils is genius. So many other gems I cannot name them all. I've learned a lot from this video and I love the resulting cards. Thank you!💗
First time to see your channel -- very impressive!! Love the color pallet you used. And I definitely am a new subscriber after seeing your work and your training methods.
I Just discovered your channel and I'm so glad that I did period I was never a big fan of multimedia, but you put a whole new perspective on that! I love your techniques and I can't wait to see more of you in the future.
These are great. I love this style of card. Have you tried die cutting acetate to use as your stencil? If so, how you feel it compares to the paper stencil with the collage medium as "covering"?
Great video and super ideas! Anxious to try some of these! I don't have any collage medium to strengthen a cardstock diecut, but as you were demonstrating, I started wondering if Mod Podge might do the same thing. Nothing ventured, nothing gained, so I think I will give it a shot! Anyone else tried this?
Love ALL of these, Julianna! Can you explain why you used oxide spray vs ink sprays? I have many oxide sprays but don’t grab them often, but I’d like to. Ty for taking time to post these detailed tutorials 🙏😍
I could have gone either way with them for the way I used them on these cards. I am just trying to use my sprays a little more and just happened to choose the Oxides. The oxides do have a slightly more pastel or chalky look to them, so if you were to do these with the Spray Stains the colors might be a bit more bold. I don't think you could go wrong with either one though! Thanks so much for this great question and and watching!
yesterday I wondered what "clusters". You've shown an excellent reason on your 1st card for making clusters! Excellent idea using the reverse tweezers! And this is the 1st time i've seen those tim holz type stamps used. Awesome! in the last example, the green part was green card stock them stamped, correct?
@@JulianaMichaels Not sure I have tried it cutting with dies, but scan'n'cut did a perfect job for other purposes. Made myself a few stencils already this way.
This is the first time I’ve seen your channel and I’m very impressed with your professionalism both as a crafter and on the video making! However, I’m not a big fan of these voiced over style and for me fitting six cards into a 20 minutes video was just a little too fast. There was a lot of useful information packed in there which just whizzed by. Loved the colours you chose. I’ve subscribed!😊
I do my best to find a balance with how long I make the videos. If I were to record live as I'm crafting my videos would be hours and hours long! LOL When they get too long, people just won't watch them. If you prefer a little slower pace you might try reading my corresponding blog post and see if that helps out. Thanks so much for watching and subbing!
I turn plastic coated and lightweight plastic pocket folders and report covers from the dollar store into stencils from my dies.
This is such a great idea! I may have to give this a try!
