I absolutely love your fencing veil. It doesn't sag or tip to far forward when trying to beekeep or while I am performing a honey bee cut-out from a structure. It is comfortable to wear and very lightweight, which is very important to me, particularly when I might be wearing it all day. Comfort Pro is my first choice!

I had a round and went to fencing style. My round veil had cotton for the head covering versus 3 layer material so I go stung on the head through hat. Some manufacturers use 3 layer material to eliminate this issue. Second problem with my round veil was there was not enough material (tallness). Thus the weight of my bee suit was being carried by my head and was very uncomfortable.Third problem with my round veil was it is harder to hang or store with that wire bail. Fourth problem with the round veil is that I like to chose what headband I use to collect sweat (hot here in Texas) and that is decided for you (no choice) in a round veil. So all these issues went away with my fencing veil. However the 1 problem with my fencing veil is that if I am kneeling or in certain positions the mesh material is touching my chin so I have to pay attention and move my head back to prevent getting stung.

I have a fencing veil on my main jacket. It is a 3 layer type and I chose this because I could unzip the front of the veil, I do like this feature. My backup has a round veil and was one I picked up in a hurry to help out another beekeeper. I prefer the fencing veil over the round veil especially when I'm working around trees and things, the round veil seems like a giant Sombrero catching on everything in arms reach lol. I do enjoy the visibility of the round veil and agree that the fencing veil keeps you looking down but where else are you looking when working bees lol. Thanks for sharing bud i appreciate the great info.

I like both, both have their pros and cons. The clear vue round veil is the best one overall imo.

Thanks for sharing! I find that many beekeepers do like to have both as an option for different times and different jobs in the bee yard. Spring is near! Happy beekeeping!

The round one will still blow off in the wind.

I got a round and fencing veil, then I got cordovans and now work them in a tank top, shorts and flip flops 😅
