Went to the caves last July but didn't have much time before the tide came back in and the main cave (@ 3:56) was still surrounded by water as it is here - quite deep too and I only had my walking boots. Looks like a beautiful day. Great video.
Same for us. We have visited it now a couple of times and, with this video we didn’t really intend on visiting freshwater so once again didn’t have the right footwear! Will one day enter that cave properly! Lol
Me too. I hope to look again end April / early May. You gotta get the tides right. I arrived by bus at 10.10am in July and the tide was just starting to come in (I think low tide was 10.20). I couldn't get there any earlier and it's a 10 minute trek from the bus stop and across the slippery seaweed. If I had had more time I would have gone in but with the tide coming in it was too risky. I got my photos so....
Hi guys. Brilliantly video of Freshwater bay. I have fished this bay for more years than I care to remember and hopefully will continue to do so for many more. Caught some nice double figure Bass here. There are also some great caves to the west side of the bay that you can swim through. Just a word of warning to the uninitiated amongst us that would like to take a walk around the headland. On a spring tide you must subtract at least an hour and a half from the stated times of the tide, which is taken at Pompey harbour. You can buy a local tide timetable from any fishing tackle shop or newsagents which will have the correct amount of time to add or subtract depending on your location on the island printed on the back. A lot of people have been caught out by this thinking that the tide is still going out when it has actually turned! Thanks again for the video.
We have indeed. It used to be part of a camp place but is now on private land. Would love to maybe visit one day know it’s had a lot of publicity lately.
It's somewhere in the Undercliff below Niton - my favourite location. It's in somebody's back garden so I may have passed by it more than once without noticing it.
Such a calming video, really feel I am with you. Love it❤
Thank you. It’s a beautiful part of the Island to visit. Will have to again soon!
nice vid and good choice of music
Thank you :) glad you enjoyed the video.

Hi Lee and Candy...love your videos......have you ever heard of the 'Boot House' in the woods somewhere on the island?
