Good evening-night BP and CP. That barley hay looks great. Several years ago, a farmer I knew, he's retired now, sold a standing crop of wheat for silage. That same year, the price jumped. He would have had 2.5 times the money if he kept it for the combine. 👍
Low humidity? Lucky! 😅 I guess only made hay 1 time this year after midnight, but really the last time baling through the nights more often was 2021. Don't mind having a few smaller bales as well, works better for bale feeders and lugging around being a little lighter.
I made it 🥃🥃🍻 Too tough to bale what I had left this morning.. just got in from finishing up.. most ran 10-12%. Had a spike of 36% and another at 40% .. but just a short piece of bale each.. figure out what ones, they'll get stacked outside and fed soon..
Curious why u guys run sickle mowers over a discbind mower conditioner. Seems like the time and fuel u would save maybe worth the switch. Like a 1412 new Holland or something they not to spendy.
I run both, sickle mower in the rocks, discbine in the heavy crops and rock free. If you’ve got lots of rocks, like I do on some rented stuff, sickle is the only way to go. You don’t save much time with the discbine if it’s rough at all unless a guy doesn’t mind beating the snot out of everything.

Now, on to the next adventure! 😊
Good morning BP and CP ☕️☕️👍 That’s about the point I like to do my greenfeed or even a hair more riper, drys down faster than when it’s pea green.

How is CP'S foot hope she is healing.
yeah green feed might be worth more than the grain
It will be forsure. Going to take a pile of grain to make any money this year.
The whole idea of my grain is first for feed second is for sale
G'day Doug
No matter how much I say I’m heading to town for a quick bit and be back. Whole day later … 🤦🏽
