    We were a group of 4 exploring a huge tunnel maze. At one point the female dwarf steps into a spike trap, wounding her critically. We can't pull her out and applying bandages and no real effect, so it's clear she's not going to make it. So our paladin (male dwarf) goes "ehhh... fuck that - I'll steal her gear and leave her here!" DM immidiately says "You can't do that, it's very much against your alignment. Besides, she's not even dead yet!". What followed was a 20 minute huge argument, where the paladin absolutely INSISTED he should nick her stuff and sell it in the next town and buy gear for himself. We stopped playing with him after that.

    Our group had a running joke of tripping over a crate of chickens whenever anyone critically failed to hide.
