  • Out of any mouse mods I've ever seen, this easily takes the prize as most valuable and impactful. The SoSpacer custom mouse grips are a newer product that holds a ton of promise for anyone looking to up their FPS game and improve aiming consistency. Really lets you turn your mouse into a brand new mouse. Should you try it out? Probably, once the updated version comes out. Expect a follow up review once I get them in house!

    One of my biggest gripes with 90% of mice is that they tend to always be longer that my grip needs, and I like to have my fingers very curled, so they are never in the same spot. I’m super excited to try these out when the xlite v3 releases 😊 great video, and good luck on your next milestone!

      I get that. These could definitely help with creating consistent finger placement on longer mice, especially those without those 'comfort' grooves. Thank you so much!

    I think west proter made a video about don't be so fixiated on your mouse grip, allow your hand move freely

    • @GekkoTechGaming
      @GekkoTechGaming  Год назад

      I agree, he's completely right, the more you focus on your grip the less you're focused on the game. It's like that with a lot of things, gaming, sports, art. But I think these actually help with that. You don't have to focus on your grip, the grips guide your fingers for you. You don't have to think about where your fingers are, they just slot right in and you can focus on game sense and playing the game.

      Allowing my hand to move freely, I can easily notice inconsistencies with my grip and especially my pinky tends to slide down and touch the mouse pad. These grips could 100% negate any chance of the pinky sliding down and also get rid of inconsistent grip which absolutely has a negative impact on aim. I can very easily tell my aim is off when I'm not gripping the mouse exactly how I want.

    I really enjoyed the video.
    I have a question though. Is there a reason you haven’t tried staggering the forward and back of the spacers on your triggers to match the lengths of your fingers?
    To me, what seems attractive about these grips is that the user can tailor their placements to their exact hand size.
    I was thinking about what a mouse would look like if it was designed to lock your grip in like these spacers, and what I ended up deciding was that it was basically impossible to design a mouse that locks your grip in like these spacers seem to do because most people have a shorter index finder than middle finger and they can be all different kinds of ratios. People don’t have consistent finger lengths.
    I really like what the MZ1 rails do to lock your fingers in side to side, and I don’t think backward needs any help because of the slope of the trigger, but the front of the mouse could use a way to prevent fingers from sliding forward.
    If having the index and middle finger right next to eachother feels the best, then maybe it would be possible to actually build this type of spacer into the front of a fingertip mouse’s trigger in order to lock it in fingerplacement and prevent the grip from sliding forward.

      This is a very good point. Some mice like the Basilisk and G502 take that into consideration in the length of mouse 1 and 2, with mouse 2 being longer than mouse 1. But for these symmetrical mice, if I'm being super honest... I just like how keeping them symmetrical looks XD Very clean look and I think it actually looks kinda cool. And it feels good to me, doesn't feel like I'm straining either my index or middle finger when using that setup.
      But ultimately that's the beautiful thing about these types of grips that makes them so much more valuable than boring grip tape. They are so customizable to what you want from them. You can place them wherever you want to for your preference. I've seen some people use all 6 grips on one mouse in lots of different configurations. If complete grip is priority, you could use 2 grips on mouse 1 and another 2 on mouse 2 and completely lock in your finger placement. My personal recommendation is just the most balanced overall from what I tested, encourages consistency without causing too many restrictions to finger micromovements.
      But yeah, that would be an interesting idea for a fingerstop to be built into mice. I'd worry about it making mice more limited for who it works for. The MZ1 is one of those mice that you either adore or hate. I kinda hated it. It's designed for people with much longer fingers than me (Zy got some long fingies) and the places it wants your fingers to land on the sides as well as the weird hump make my fingers want to cry.

    struck out on viper se and was debating waiting on razers non SE viper mini wireless or getting the symm 2, how is the symm 2 is the wireless on par with razers offerings?

    • @GekkoTechGaming
      @GekkoTechGaming  Год назад

      Personally I'd wait for the non SE VMW. Razer's tech outplays Pwnage's quite a bit and it should be released sometime this year (probably lol). If it was a year ago I might say go for it, but it's so close to release that I say it's worth the wait. To be honest though, most people won't notice a huge difference, Pwnage's implementation is fine, and the 3370 sensor is still a great sensor. But I would be very surprised if the VMW wasn't much lighter than the Symm 2 wireless as well.

      @@GekkoTechGaming Yeah I think I might end up waiting for it but interestingly enough I found another mouse that from what I can tell is a clone of the pwnage mouse (even has the different shell options) but uses a 3395 sensor, its called the ironcat minipro
