That way every time I browse over a folder, it'll use the image I had in the MUOS>catalogue>info>folder subfolder as the display image, which I went with a 300 max height or width. Doubt anyone can make use of that info, you're probably here for other reasons, but figured I'd mention it.
thanks for the advice. but i'm still having problems. i have images that are 5000px and insanely high resolution. i need to reduce them down to around 1500, but keep a really high resolution when zoomed in. any thoughts on this?
1500 is a decent size for good quality image. Please make sure that you set image quality to 100 percent when you export the file. If your have a lot of details and text in the image than feel free to try different interpolations. Thanks
i'm trying to resize a 508x553 image to 55x60 and it isn't working for me, is there something i may have done wrong about this or is it just not possible?
So every time I add an image to gimp it ends up being roughly 290x180 pixels, every time. No matter what image. And I don’t know why that is happening or how to fix it. Is there anything you could tell me to help with that?
@@LivingImage I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled gimp 3 times. I don’t know what you mean by given dimension. But what I do know is I have taken images that are 1920x1080 and 1280x720 and they get shrunk to less then 300. And when I try to resize it, the image looks terrible and super blurry, for obvious reasons
my dear bro, dont be offended but when needing info, you giving me so much slow chit chat, when its swift and a steady flow of keywords thats required. speed up cuz, also, the numbers, if i save a4, what is that in cm, inches, pixels? resolution? for web, you need low res so other pc can load pages quicker. for printing, you can go for higher res to produce crisp images. sorry, but i when i printed out page a4 it gave me an image size of a credit card

Thanks for your comments. It is expected to lose the quality up to a certain level when we want to scale up images, but increasing the image quality percentage can produce better result when you export the file. In this case file size might increase slightly.

a tip for you don't use music in your tutorials it only adds a detraction and makes people have to focus harder on what you are saying

Cubic interpolation method generally produce good result. However every method has different purposes.

Please disconnect the dimensions chain ( height and width). So that you can input your preferred dimensions. Thanks

It’s an unusual issue. Could you please reinstall the Gimp? Did you ever created any image with the given dimension?

Was wondering how to scale up without losing quality. Images lose quality when scaled up more so than when scaled down.
