Like you said, have your goals and purpose aligned. Work towards one goal - building a successful, loving family/legacy. You can only do that together and not individually.
Everything you’ve said can also be gelled into our day to day lives . This notion that we can thrive individually without the help of others is for the most part delusional . We need to realise that the ‘uni’ in universe stands for oneness. I’ll use the analogy of body parts ; if my right nostril is blocked , my entire being suffers for that part .
Listen, I don’t know who speaks into your life but they’re doing an excellent job. Thank you for being such a great role model. Marriage is surely not for the faint hearted, it is such a beautiful institution but hard as hoof! It requires death to self and a whole lot of investment to thrive, you really can’t get it until ur in it. My good Lord bless you and grant you your heart’s longing for sharing your journey with us.

But Flavia, we need to normalize boundaries even marriages. If your spouse is cheating, abusive, bad with money etc, you are NOT bound to accepting that. What are the acceptable and unacceptable things in marriages? Would like to hear your opinion on that.

Somethings are bound to happen irrespective of how we want or try not to make then happen, at the end all the day it all comes down to why you got married amd yes that Acceptnace stage ! My dear marriage is not a plate of food that you just eat and get satisfied, its resposibility, decision making, effort , hardwork , etc etc.. unfortunately when many of us get married we tend to hope for fairytales until the unfolding happens!! Once you get to the acceptance stage of actual reality, then you on the right path... At the end of the day we are all humans, we failt at some point in one way or another ! Judge not.
