Bubble Bobble was the first videogame I ever played, so oddly fitting that it's the first GG video I watch :) Bub is the green dude and Bob is the blue. Bob 4 lyfe! Always played this with my mum :3

Bubble Bobble was one of my favorite games as a child, but over the years, no one had ever heard of it and I couldn't find anything about it other than a game with the same characters under a different name. It's so nice to know I wasn't crazy all of these years, and I found this video 8 years after you guys posted it lol
The popcorn pan thing was in fantastic 4. I loved them as a kid
I searched "Berble Booble" and it still showed me this.
This is my favorite thing to watch them play, maybe because I get to hear Danny's lovely singing voice. It also sounded like this originally wasn't a 'Game Grumps' verses from the way they talked at some point.

Before Dan hardly started on describing it, I thought "Ok, Dan's going to talk about JIffy-Pop now."
Umbrellas are stage warps I think. The green candy gives you rapid fire, blue candy let's you shoot further. If you get all the EXTEND letters I think you get a bonus stage and it skips the level you were on. Had this game growing up. Lots of fun!

When I was younger, I played "Dinos and bubbles", and I swear, it was EXACTLY like this, just with 3D graphics. I loved it so much..

This was a nearly perfect game as a little kid. Cute characters, easy controls. You blow bubbles and collect treasures and treats. I loved each new stage and collecting all the new junk food items. 🤗
I love this game so much, one of my favorites on the NES or otherwise. It was so darn adorable you just want to give the game a hug. Any sort of crossover between Bubb2le Bobble, Kirby, and Captain Toad (toss in 8-bit and Smash Bros. Mega Man in there as well) would kill you with cuteness.

I have an old arcade machine in my house from around 20 years ago and it has this game. the machine still works. you just can't play with 2 players because one of the joysticks broke, but this was my favorite game on the machine.
that stuff they said at about 9:00 is why i like Super Mario 2 over Super Mario 3. Mario 3 is a great game, super fantastic, but you have to like set aside a free weekend to sit down and do nothing to get involved in a sprawling epic, whereas Super Mario 2 i can just turn it on and enjoy for a few minutes and feel fulfilled. Joyous music, throw a turnip, get as far as i can and still feel like i had a good time

I have fond memories playing this on an NES. If you didn't grow up giving blow jobs to NES cartridges and consoles to get dust out, you can't know. I feel old as shit.
I'm not quite that old, but I did the same with N64 carts back in my day.
My rich cousin had every console from NES to Dreamcast, though, so I did play a few NES games as a child.
I love it when they play co-op games ^^ in this and Contra they have that moment where they notice where they're blasting through a game

Holy shit God damn this is an annoying fucking song, we'll get it stuck inside our heads and sing it all day long, this is the game, that never ends, 100 levels, and start again, while you were stuck in the basement all days, all of the children went out to play.
They seem to be having fun a lot more in old episodes compared to current episodes. It makes me happy that we have so much great content to re-watch whenever.

This was my favourite NES game! I think I could play the first 40-50 levels in my sleep. I still pull it out on occasion just for nostalgia's sake.
This was my shit when I was a kid! I legit just freaked out when I found out Game Grumps played this. I’m so excited.
FLOOD OF MEMORIES. Loved this game. My friend and I spent so much time on this thing and managed to beat it...somewhat. I believe there were levels after the giant boss? Can't remember. In any case, I thought those were apples, that Umbrella that was missed in one of the levels will skip you...5 levels? I think? And I can't believe how much my friend and I used to laugh about the faces they make when they're in the fire. We called it peanut butter since it slows you down.

OMG I remember this game!! My sister and I used to play this all the time! We made it to the end of the level and missed something important after beating the boss, so it said we had to do it all over again. She said nope and we returned the game, never to rent it again XD
The nostalgia levels are off the charts! I used to beat this game with my sister when I was around 4.
I'm pretty sure other people have probably mentioned this, but collecting the bubble letters spell out EXTEND, gives you an extra life and you skip to the next level
I was working today (I work at a local used game store) and when I was opening, I turned on the music and the bubble bobble theme came on. I only knew what it was because I saw the thumbnail for this video and am now just watching it. This is neat.

I never played Bubble Bobble as a kid. Instead, I spent so much time playing Puzzle Bobble that I forgot this game even existed.
