The last buffs to the Oakensoul mythic were amazing and some of them are impossible to get on your own, without a teammate now with this Ring we can have them. 'One Ring to Rule Them All.'

Finally got the new mythic! I simply placed it on my own 2 pet build, (5 harden Ward, 3 Mother sorrow and Maelstrom staff). Used the Mage's guild ultimate, crystal frags, Unstable Wall with crital surge. Seems to be working well, but I will try your build soon. Liking this new mythic. One bonus is if your fps goes down, the one bar build is easier to use.
For someone like me that has to deal with high latency from satellite internet, the Oakensoul Ring and this build will be the reason I can actually enjoy ESO again.
Tried this on the PTS against the Iron Atro Dummy and hit over 40k dps for the first time. Can't wait to take this through VMA when it goes to the live server
Made this build and cleared Vet Vateshran relatively easily. It's super tanky. Most of the time I didn't even need the shield. Only when I got clobbered a few times on the last boss. My only complaint is that it takes FOREVER to kill anything. I could not pass the DPS check on the last boss. But because streak allowed me to bypass it, that wasn't a show stopper. If there were only some way to ramp up the damage, even moderately, this build would be super.
I have been running Mothers Sorrow x5 (all light), Necropotence x5 (all light) and Monster set x2 (medium and heavy) on a one bar build for over 3 years. Heavy attacks only, two pets and I don't run a shield. I did note you didn't need shield so running Twilight Matriarch which does damage and can heal would be a good replacement. I don't understand why people feel the need to change so much because of a meta change. If you enjoy what you play and it does the job, why change. If I do change I will drop the monster set, add the Oakensoal and the Maelstrom lightening staff but still run the Mothers Sorrow and Necro.
Hehehe, I guess you're in the wrong place here. I was unable to google the boss Hack was soloing. It looks like some base game world boss. That's harder than overland, but still easy content. You can use Hack's build, quite tanky, or you can use your build, squishier but more damage. Until you up the ante, you won't feel much of a difference, especially if you use Crit Surge. Hack didn't use it, because of Oakensoul, but you can get the same healing without committing to so much health regen by using that skill. You're not looking for suggestions, but I can't resist. At your level of squishiness, I'm not sure Necropotence is the best bet for max damage. Shields in PvE are capped and you're not using a shield anyway, nor a healing proc set. Those are pretty much the sole remaining reasons to build for high magicka these days. If you have Medusa, I'd probably use that instead of Necropotence, or that crafted crit% / crit damage set next patch. On the other hand, the meta for a lightning staff heavy attack build is Storm Master + Infallible Mage, I believe. Note: Those damage boosts apply individually to every tick of a lightning heavy attack and, yes, most of these sets were changed, but those two should still work. Infallible Mage also gives you Minor Slayer and Vulnerability, which should beat a plain crit set on that score alone. Of course that only leaves room for the Maelstrom staff in a two bar build. The best combination with Oakensoul would need testing. In short, Hack's build majors on comfort (nothing wrong with that), whereas yours is more aggressive. If you can deal with that, you should not run Hack's build. In fact, some of the hardest 4-man content, such as vet Scalecaller, has been soloed with high damage lightning heavy attack builds. It's when you get into that territory, not even so much vMA or vVH, that you may really want to pay attention to the meta. There are other approaches to soloing (Brawler, ), but in terms of soloing the toughest content, and in so far as a meta exists for that, I believe (DK) heavy attack builds are actually where it's at.

I can't wait to try this build! it looks like tons of fun! Hey Hack, Im really looking forward to the new companions, and I was wondering if you had any builds that would make good use of an Isabelle build? (this one or any others)
Would you recommend this one bar build or a magick necro one bar? Also is the necro guide going to be updated? I want to basically play solo in this game and this will be a side game to me mainly so want simplicity and fun when playing.
Since I don't do much (any) pvp and alessian is super pricey and I've only got two pieces of permafrost in my book. I'm looking at other options for a five piece. Specifically I'm looking a crafted stuff at the moment. What would be your thoughts on something like Naga Shaman and swapping spheres with crit surge. Obviously the buff is uselessly redundant, but the heals only. The set then gives you minor mending and vitality while your hardened ward is up. Anyway, that's my first though. I'm still looking through crafted sets for things that mimic the purpose you have for the set(s) you recommend (I just started looking). Thoughts?
How come you use Deadly Aim? The only thing it buffs is the familiar and storm atro's light attack? Wouldn't it be better to have Thaumaturge or Wrathful?
I run this exact build and I love it for everything solo. But i was wondering if you could do a video with One bar Oakensoul magicka build with more punch for Trials? I wanna continue to run Oakensoul but I don't wanna swap to stamina and I don't wanna use daggers. (Daggers on a sorc just seems wrong to me. Might as well be a nightblade). Thank you in advance for any advice you could give me. Great video it has helped me tremendously
Thx for the great content. Totally unrelated question: i know there's an add-on that lets ppl see the loot everyone gets off a boss but does this add-on or one similar that lets you see inside every lootable item?
I've just got back into the game, played it since beta until late 2018..................wow what are those accessories? last time I played gold ones were the best. Anyway, when I logged in again I had Infallible aether and necropotence set for my pet sorc so gonna stick with that for now. Really want that oakensoul ring though.
Very exciting build..... Really looking forward to the getting the upcoming upgrade. Question - what DPS should we be expecting? Lots of sustain, but does that come at a DPS cost? Thanks.
Holy shit this build slaps. Anything that can be solo'd can be solo'd with this build. We better enjoy it while we can before ZOS nerfs The One Ring🤣🤣🤣
Quick question on the skills choice, since you dropped lightning flood for mystic orb from the previous version, you lose 2% spell damage from the sorc passive, does losing that bonus spell damage for all sources outweigh having extra damage from mystic orb? Also, wouldn't this build be a great chance to slot in the new blue star for bonus damage on off balance? perhaps swapping it for the single target star.
Mystic Orb is more mobile so it was nice for bosses that move around a lot. If you have a stationary target then lightning flood is a good option. Exploiter can be used though I probably would replace fighting finesse since critical is relatively low especially on the one bar build 👍
@@HackTheMinotaur true, and I also just thought if you wanted to lean more into the exploiter, swapping the staff trait from precise to charged should give much better uptimes on off balance since it has such a long cool down
@@SereneWoIf I don’t think charged is necessary since I almost always get the off balance proc instantly off cooldown in my testing. Though you could play around with other options too. Sharpened would be good for AOE - even defensive since that would translate to more health recovery with Alessian 😎
@@HackTheMinotaur good to know, I would think sharpened would be the way to go in that case, and depending on where your pen falls with that, might be worth swapping your helm to 2 light peices for the bonus 939 pen to make up for the fact that running solo you won't have access to minor breach or crimson oath 🤔 going from +6 to +4 only having 2/3 of the undaunted passive is a bit of a loss, but the extra pen could be worth it. I may do some extra testing of my own on the pts when I get home from work. 👍🏼
How does it fare in high pressure situations in places like vet arenas? Haven't tried a solo sorc build yet but im skeptical health recovery and a shield is enough lol
was wondering, in the video, its heavy armor passive that i need to level but in the written guide, its light armor passive that i need to level. which one i need to level actually? hahaha thanks
Dumb question, but if your running with a good healer could we replace alessian order with 5 medium Nma or another mag/spell craft set? (Just to increase damage)?
How do u have a ring that requires high isle and it hasn't dropped yet? All the things I have found say you have to have the island to get the vents closed for the chest for the lead.
Thinking about going back into TESO. This build looks neat. Only caveat: Since Morrowind I only play Argonians. Does this build suffer greatly from exchanging the damage buffs for a bit more passive rec and higher health?
Just switched from an 18 toon account on playstation to my first toon on Xbox Series S. Now I'm just trying to find a great class that is good and viable right now to start off with lol
FYI, it appears you swapped the Mother's Sorrow and Iceheart set lists on your web site. Looks like a fun build. Might encourage me to finally play a sorcerer.
I havent changed any gear on my nightblade, vicious ophidian weapons and jewelry, briarheart armor and selenes monster, but lately he has been kicking butt. And one shotting. Its been years since Ive one shot anything in this game! I expect it to all go away as soon as the new dlc drops. 🥴
20:51 you completely read that passive wrong. You get 300 mag OR stam back depending on which the skill costs. Also you get the 300 rebate when a daedric summoning ability ends. I.e. Scamp pulse ends or your hardened shield expires

Thoughts?
I think the extra healing would be quite nice! You probably would have similar survival with that set
Do cyrodiil merchants switch between sets they sell? I can’t find Alessian order
Thx for the great content. Totally unrelated question: i know there's an add-on that lets ppl see the loot everyone gets off a boss but does this add-on or one similar that lets you see inside every lootable item?
Is heavy armor or light armor better for solo builds? Cause some I see use light and others heavy for mag builds
Are the storm atro and daedroth considered as pets( like the familiar and the winged twilight) ?
Is this only for solo or would this be good to run trials and others with ppl ?
How's this handle as a build while levelling? New player finally going to come do some ESO, this looks like my kind of build.
Would this build be good for pvp? Like swapping out some of those skills for others?
does update 35 change anything on how this build performs? started a new sorc to work toward this
I've just got back into the game, played it since beta until late 2018..................wow what are those accessories? last time I played gold ones were the best.
I’m curious what you’d use for a Templar version of this
How does it fare in high pressure situations in places like vet arenas? Haven't tried a solo sorc build yet but im skeptical health recovery and a shield is enough lol
was wondering, in the video, its heavy armor passive that i need to level but in the written guide, its light armor passive that i need to level. which one i need to level actually? hahaha
thanks
Dumb question, but if your running with a good healer could we replace alessian order with 5 medium Nma or another mag/spell craft set? (Just to increase damage)?
I would recommend mother’s sorrow or the new Orders Wrath set
@@HackTheMinotaur thank you😁😁
i wood love to see templar one bar build if possible
Yes I like these one bar builds. Which 1 bar build do you recommend for a new player? As in easiest to play?
This is the easiest so far! I will have more out soon 👍
How do u have a ring that requires high isle and it hasn't dropped yet? All the things I have found say you have to have the island to get the vents closed for the chest for the lead.
does this build support an "one shot" from maelstorm arena bosses?
Thinking about going back into TESO. This build looks neat. Only caveat: Since Morrowind I only play Argonians. Does this build suffer greatly from exchanging the damage buffs for a bit more passive rec and higher health?
You have to play on a very high difficulty level to see the difference of the race skills to make a significant impact.
Enjoy the Xatheels.

@@bora7494 Thanks. Was not sure if that much had changed since I left TESO. Then I can happily do my thing. :)
@@scytalelolo You are right :)
@@nwahally Beauty of this game that you have a lot of flexibility.
Just switched from an 18 toon account on playstation to my first toon on Xbox Series S. Now I'm just trying to find a great class that is good and viable right now to start off with lol
A Trainee sash and bracers could optimize the armor weights of the pieces. :)
I can't seem to find the assassin's order set on Google
Dunno if your still commenting on this but could I use beekeepers instead of the Alessian?
This is how the High Elves defeated the Empire
How do you summing that fire beast bruh ???? That was dope my guy
Can this be used to solo vet dlc dungeons like moon hunter keep, icereach etc?
FYI, it appears you swapped the Mother's Sorrow and Iceheart set lists on your web site. Looks like a fun build. Might encourage me to finally play a sorcerer.
Fixed! Thank you
Can you use liquid lightning in this build?
I havent changed any gear on my nightblade, vicious ophidian weapons and jewelry, briarheart armor and selenes monster, but lately he has been kicking butt. And one shotting. Its been years since Ive one shot anything in this game!
I expect it to all go away as soon as the new dlc drops. 🥴
Idk if drinking a potion should be part of the build preview on stats
This build good for arenas? Maybe a stupid question but have not tried yet.
hello, if i dont have Maelstorm dlc, what staff i could use ? (with no dlc)
Does being a vampire help for this or no?
20:51 you completely read that passive wrong. You get 300 mag OR stam back depending on which the skill costs. Also you get the 300 rebate when a daedric summoning ability ends. I.e. Scamp pulse ends or your hardened shield expires
is there any other skill i can use beside the undaunted skill it takes so much to level it as a solo player i really dont like doing pvp
Is this still usable after patch 35?
Is this build still viable>?
how would i increase my spell damage????
What is that outfit, and do I get it?
Could you make a God of Thunder build?
I'm not seeing the link to the written guide. Great build though!
Still working on that. I’ll have it linked in the pinned comment once it’s ready 👍
Thank you!
